iLuv's iMM190 App Station dock rolls into availability
It's a bit later than the originally promised February release date, but iLuv has just announced that its iMM190 App Station iPhone / iPod touch dock is now available for $89.99. As we saw first-hand at CES, this one stands out from pack of iPhone / iPod docks somewhat by employing a custom iLuv app, which the company says will be frequently updated with new features. Of course, you can also use any other app you like (in both portrait or landscape mode), and the device will charge your iPhone or iPod touch just like any other dock, as well as accommodate other audio devices via its line-in jack -- no bed shaking with this one, though.

Looks good to me, will it be sold in the UK though?
@xenon73 If so you know they'll be changing the $ to £ and adding 20 :(
@xenon73 Notice how bright the light is in that room? Does a good job covering up how distractingly bright this setup would be in an actual bedroom at night. Good luck falling asleep with a lit iPhone in your face.
@sshole Too true, I am getting really sick of getting these gadgets months or years later and having them cost far more than their American counterparts... When last I checked GBP was worth more than USD :@
@Cash9007 Hopefully, the sleep/wake button will still be functional, if not, then not only is that a deal-breaker for me, but it is indeed an EPIC FAIL.
@Cash9007 Just got this unit last week and it dims then goes out so doesn't cause too much annoying light. That said, heh, there is a blue "on indicator" LED behind the speaker cloth that is annoyingly bright.
because that clock isn't ripped from HTC
@PhoenixFox
Better sue!
They totally ripped the clock from HTC sense...
@Alexpeegs
HTC shouldn't just stand by while other comapnies infringe upon their IP.
/steve jobs-related sarcasm
@ror
IP? You mean the patents they have? Perhaps the trademark? copyright maybe?
I believe Apple already lost the look-and-feel lawsuit bud. No unless they are literally copying the images pixel per pixel or literally deriving from said images they have no case.
@Alexpeegs
Haha.
First of all, that is not a native iPhone clock. Maybe it's some alarm app. Maybe it's just Photoshopped. At best, you can point your finger at the 3rd party developer that wanted to rip off HTC clock. This has NOTHING to do with Apple.
Second of all, the HTC clock is completely ridiculous. It's horrible. Why the hell would you want a giant freaking clock taking up 1/3 of your screen? It's even more ridiculous when you see that the time is displayed in a smaller clock at the top of the screen right about the giant clock. 2 clocks must be better than one, right? My guess is that the time is also on the lock screen. Who comes up with this stuff? What else is on there, the local temperature? That's not the weather. Forecast + radar is the weather for people that actually go outside...
@ebgolfin
Somehow I missed the part about the custom app. So anyway, point your finger at iLuv if you want to talk about copying that silly clock.
That looks like HTC Touch Pro 2 in landscape.
smells like a lawsuit...*sniff*
I just want to be the guy in pix. Having the App Station would be a bonus.
who wears long sleeve shirts when they're sleeping!?
@JustThatNerdyGuy
people who want to save money on their heating bills
@JustThatNerdyGuy
In a house that is ALL WHITE??
@Prospero It is to contrast with all of their black leather S&M gear that is just out of frame.
Probably not good for the life of the iphone screen though
@plasticlung
I was wondering about that too.
Patents...
Hey, those painters are sleeping in my bed! Get back to work, slackers!
This thing will have you replacing your iPhone battery in less than 3 months.
I would get his if it worked with my blackberry..... I hate leaving it on the floor all the time and use it as my alarm clock already.
I wonder if you can cook your morning eggs on it after having your screen on for 8-10 hours... lord know's it'll be hot enough...
shhh, they're spooning
I Sense a copycat...
But what happens when the speakers start to spit out that annoying buzzing caused by mobile phone signal interference!?
Surely you will have to turn off the phone function and that doesn't work for me.
