If it's on Sprint, does that mean Internet and everything is their $69 per month unlimited plan with Internet and the whole deal their CEO advertises? I just might give it a try if that's the scenario!
@scottsdale Just to clarify, it's technically not unlimited anything. While you get unlimited calling to any mobile number, when you call a landline or a business (between 7am and 7pm Monday-Friday, otherwise it's unlimited nights and weekends), that comes out of your 450 minutes.
But to me (and most others, I think) that's effectively unlimited everything.
@scottsdale unless they wanna be dicks about it, yes. That's the Everything Data 450 plan and it kicks ass. Most (read: 99%) of the phone calls I make are to mobile phones, so it's pretty much unlimited calling. And of course I also get unlimited texts and 'unlimited' data (I believe, like all the carriers, there's a 5GB cap which is pretty damn hard to reach honestly).
@scottsdale There's a slight catch to that unlimited deal. It's unlimited calling to all mobile phones (regardless of carrier). With the $69.99 service you get 450 anytime minutes that get used when you call landlines, including your voicemail, and google voice. You also still get unlimited nights and weekends starting at 7:00 pm I believe. So it's not quite unlimited, though it is still by far the best plan out there. Oh, and the internet is truly unlimited (not capped at 5GB like others).
I agree it may be useful to some but to there are many people like me who use the their cellphone for conference calls ( 800 numbers ), international calls they still count in your 450 min which is not enough
At the end of the day for people like us that plan is hardly a deal. The tmobile everything more plus that I currently have with my nexus one is a great deal. I have no issues with Tmobile in my area and hence that rocks.
Not only is it unlimited mobile to mobile calling, any carrier, and unlimited (truly) data, and SMS/MMS, but it's also free GPS using TeleNav with traffic alerts.
Also, most other carriers' Nights & Weekends start at 9PM - Sprint's starts at 7PM, so as others stated, unless you call a lot of landlines before 7PM, it's a STEAL.
I wanted to keep using Google Voice with it, but it became unnecessary (Calls in/out with GV use landline, so it would count against your minutes before 7PM). Still keep it for emergencies and give it to people who might need to get a hold of me wherever I am, but it's it's pretty much a moot point with Sprint.
@thaprinze there is a way to get around using minutes calling your VM by changing your VM box # to your actual cell phone number - old Cingular tip from back in the day
I'm more interested in getting the minimal voice plan and data that gives you 200 minutes per month and no text but only adds up to $45 a month. I use Google Voice for text anyway and can use VOIP for longer calls. The one knock against Sprint is that supposed exclusive Skype for Android deal that Verizon announced. I want a real Skype app for Android if I leave the iPhone.
@tamayoduck In order for your incoming/outgoing mins to the GV # not be counted against the limited plan mins you need to ask Sprint to enable the SPRINT TO HOME feature (3 landlines for unlimited usage) and mark the GV number as one of those three. Now you can either convince customer retention dept to add that free by threatening to leave or pay an extra $5/month. Lastly, you will need to disable the caller ID in your GV profile so that it is the one of the 3 "fave" numbers calling your cell. And that's how you can synthetically (free or for extra $5) create a truly UNlimited voice plan for $75. I threatened to leave Sprint during Jan claiming their breach of contract and customer retentions added the SPRINT to HOME plan for $5/month and gave me a credit of $10month for a full year, i.e. Sprint to home free for 2yrs.
@vintuas True, and I'd considered the Sprint to Home route. For me it doesn't work right now... mostly because, and I think a lot of people out there fall under this category - there's no landline at home to use. I'd rather save the 20 bucks/month and not bother with a landline at all (at this point in my life).
The Galaxy Tab 10.1, much like its Limited Edition sibling that we reviewed last month, is ever-so-slightly thinner than the iPad 2, a slate that most sane individuals (and competitors, for that matter) would confess is the market leader today.

@scottsdale Yes Sprint says that in the press release which is the attached link.

@jhoff80 yeah, I have the plan and use about 10-20 of my 450 minutes every month. I use about 1,000 or so of the unlimited minutes.
@MasterCKO
Haha, I'm on a shared plan with my gf and her brother. Combined we all use maybe
