Motorola CLIQ XT comes to T-Mobile for $129.99
Your hopes, dreams, and deepest desires for a keyboardless CLIQ have finally materialized today now that Motorola's CLIQ XT has reached T-Mobile shops across the country. Interestingly, yesterday's leaked documentation pegged the date, but not the price -- rather than the rumored $99.99, the XT will actually be going for $129.99 on a two-year contract. We guess that's still not bad for a bona fide myTouch 3G alternative with a 5 megapixel cam -- as long as you can get down with Blur, of course.

blur just looks awefulQ!
Hmm... 'aight
I'm not a fan of MotoBlur, but after watching PhoneDog's review, this thing doesn't look half bad. That and it's confirmed to go to 2.1, so that's a positive...
@JakeMG
wat? really?
speaking of myTouch3G, does anyone know how many of those have been sold? that phone has received more (paid) advertising than any other android device. yet, you hear almost nothing about its sales numbers
Only $329.99 off contract. Now that's a price I like. :D
Ummm, where's the Motoroi?
@gmaxx -- I'm holding out to see if it'll be announced at CTIA next week.... if not, I give up and get this thing instead
BBY has it for 69.99 on contract
I gave up on the Cliq. Motoblur = Force Closes.
Can't you close or turn off MotoBlur?
@grydlok
That's like saying you gave up on a PC because you get a BSOD sometimes. Well, maybe you did... :P
@ventoaaa Well I gave up on my Mac because i kept getting the RCOWTF (Rainbow Circle Of WTF), and now I'm running MS DOS 6.2 and it hasn't froze once!
Let me know when T-Mobile announces the availability and pricing on an iPhone and then I'll be interested in reading all about it. Until then, more Android same-old, same-old.
@darex Dude just get a Nexus One, theres nothing "same ol' same ol'" about it.
@XChrisX I think they should change the name to "Sexus One" to combat the desirability of the Desire. Or maybe, in your case they should market it as the sXeUS One. And no, that's not a come on - I'm assuming by your name you're straight edge.
@XChrisX All I see is a Droid Eris with a better screen, and faster processor.
You still can't fully back-up à la iTunes, and the music player still sucks, and I'm sorry, but I have iPhone docks all over my house, and at work and in my car. I just find Android phones very awkward to use and they all feel so "beta" compared to the iPhone UI.
I have used the Droid and Droid Eris EXTENSIVELY for months, and I just cannot like Android (even with Sense UI). It's just not as pleasant to use as the iPhone. I've been very open-minded about it, and I'm a long, LONG-time T-Mobile customer, and would LOVE to buy a phone supported by their 3G network. My iPhone uses EDGE on T-Mobile, and I know I suffer for it, but I just cannot, no matter how much I want to or try to, get into Android phones, and I've really tried. I'd miss my iPhone too much, even though it's so slow.
I think most of the Android phone fans have not had an iPhone before. I know there are a few, but mostly not. Until there's an "iTunes" for Android phones, I don't think I could ever go there. I don't use G-Mail and I don't like how I'm forced to rely on it and all the associated Google storage. It's just a big old mess at the moment, from my experience.
Just my opinion, but it's my opinion based on actual experience and an open mind. I tried!
They could at least get rid of the bezel on this phone! It's a keyboardless phone for crying out loud!
BEZEL JOKE!
$129.99?? What in the hell is the point?
$50 more and you get a Nexus One.
If your going to purchase this on a plan then u should just wait until someone offers the phone for free or like $30 dollars. Id rather pay another $70 for the HD2 or w/e the price increase is for a Nexus One...the list goes on.
Um it's still been on sale since March 12th for 69.99 at Best Buy Mobiles, this article sucks...why pay double? Help people find deals.
if you upgrade you can get it for the $99 shown before and it comes with $10 credit to the android store
Tmobile is selling this phone for just 49.99!!
@millito3 Correction, TMo in Puerto Rico.
Bestbuy has it for 69.99 upgrade or new! Straight up no rebates!
I bought the cliq xt less then a month ago and went through 3 of them before i finally gave up and went with the mytouch. The cliq xt really was a huge disapointment, loved it when it did work which was rarely all apps force close every connection error possible popped up every time i tried to access anything. Do not recomend at all.
