@MacAlan - ROFLMAO!
I was gonna say that...
@MacAlan
The girl/guy kinda looks like Michael Jackson.
wahhh! I actually had to check my feed reader to verify if I was looking at engadget blog!
It's amazing to see a culture out Japan the Japanese.
@Hazdaz
well, Japan and Korea have historically been bitter rivals, so if anyone was going to out-japanese japan, it's them.
@zzzzz Bubi...licious?
I think I can send quite a commercials from South Korea that are either a.) more disturbing b.) more confusing c.) more sexy d.) all of the above.
@juanvaldez "quite a [few]"
@juanvaldez
Start sending! :)
@zzzzz
*bubi palm*
If i understand the ad correctly, if you rub them together you will get a third one?!
@hj
How is Bubi formed?
@hj
Thats how it works in nature.
@hj It's self-replicating.
is this recorded in Stepford high-school?
Enter Pedo-Bear, stage left.
Every girl should get at least two Bubis, you know, just in case they lose one.
@aubreyq 부비 (bubi), put into Google translate comes out "Bobby". Both terribly disappointing and making a decent comment sound a little....
I want some bubies
Boobie boobie? Only in Korea.
I wouldn't rub my face against billboards if I were that guy... you don't know who peed on it before you - unless of course it involves pee and one of those Bubies... In that case I need a camera...
Alright, I couldn't resist anymore and just watched the video. ... um. ... May I suggest KTF be renamed to WTF!?
ill rub some bubi's together!
What a dumb gimmick. The phone is probably a piece of shi*.
Hooray for Bubi's!
@SOOPERGOOMAN The north american version of this commercial will undoubtedly feature the BloodHound Gang singing their song "Hooray for Boobies." With said phone strapped to their crotches as they dry hump everything in sight.
Don't be rude. Korea's advertising culture is rooted around these types of promoting, through use of catchy tunes. It works for them.
Plus, don't think you're better just because you're not like them.
@awyz ...I think you're taking this wayyyy too seriously
That dudes a chick in drag!!
@MacDamage
they're all from T-ara. more versions of the ads http://www.allkpop.com/2010/03/t-ara-and-yoon-si-yoon-release-bubi-bubi-cf
Are several of those girls from Girl's Generation (SNSD)?
@drumercalzone09

What the f? May be I am getting old, but I have yet to see this ad anywhere. Where was this ad pulled from? In any case, as a Korean living in Korea, this ad is rather upsetting. Also, bubi bubi has another meaning widely used among young people, meaning to have s@x. How the hell did KT come up using such a phrase in an ad???
@Go Ithaca Snow
"meaning to have s@x" Definitely worse than boobies...
I watched this three times in a row, just to make sure I wasn't still dreaming....
I have always enjoyed some boobie, err bubi...
That just ignited my Asian chick fetish.
@JimmyBoy
Just after I think I left, they pull me back in...
if you get reactions like that ill bubi bubi too!
Hm. Good God.
oh wow, that was horrible.
"Bubi" means to rub in Korean language. It is not a formal word but is used fairly often. In this case, they are advertising a touch screen phone, so it does make sense if you understand their culture.
@yhbae
And don't we all love to bubi boobies!
@Bratyr I love to bubi boobies too!
So...what is bubi bubi? Judging by the last few seconds of the ad, is this the Korean version of "The bees and the birds"?
