Screen Grabs: Simon Campos forgets how to install an HDD in his FlashForward

While the majority of the world is busy forgetting all about ABC's FlashForward, that conniving Simon Campos has been busying forgetting which end is up on a modern day hard drive. Utilizing one of those all-too-useful SATA HDD docks on the latest episode, he proceeds to jam his hard drive into the dock upside-down, though a later shot of the device shows that some producer went in and made things right while the cast was off munching on hors d'œuvres. Imagine that -- the guys and gals behind the camera making the ones in front look good. Ah, Hollywood.

I was an extra on some TV show, playing Foosball in the background of the shot. Me and the other guy I was playing with decided to play with all of the little player feet pointed upwards. It was kept in the shot. Chaos resumed.

@flingwing when i watched this episode, i though they said laptop at first, then when i saw this part, i though i mustve heard wrong, yet i shame myself for not realizing it was upside down. i thought it was backwards, since it looks like a Black X dock the same i have on my desk right now.

He was a lot more convincing as a crack addict rock star in LOST. He could jam in HDDs upside down all he wanted in that role and still be convincing at least.

That said, I'm a fan of both shows... just started watching Flash Forward though. I guess I'm a sucker for that kinda Sci-Fi / Drama stuff.

omg that's so true. That show sucks. I mean, cool concept but horrible acting, boring characters and way too many annoying and otherwise useless sub-plots (which I expected we're all tied together but I just couldn't muster a single flicker of interest) - After fast-forwarding through the first season, I couldn't delete it from the DVR Series Manager fast enough.

My guess is that for the closeup they didn't want to see the label with the product name on it, but instead of just turning it around he also flipped it upside down. Then later, for the wider shots, they inserted correctly.

I see this stuff all the time and it bothers me. But what bothers me the most in movies/television is how actors hold firearms especially when the person is supposed to be a police officer or federal agent.
Or the best one I have seen lately is Travolta in From Paris With Love where is a spy/spook and in one scene he is looking through his binoculars backwards.

They picked a horrible book and made a horrible series. I signed out the audio book during the hiatus and fast forwarded to a better future. A future where I no longer watch FlashForward.
