Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"We need a digital camera that can be switched on and fire off that first shot fast. It's not a commonly tracked statistic on any review site, and nobody seems to have this information for every camera. We were hoping other readers could inform us as to what small digital cameras can fire off their first pics in under a second (ideally under half a second). It needs to be small, but mostly, just really quick in operation. Thanks!"
"Microsoft will be partnering with SanDisk for a branded drive in May that will come preconfigured" ....At a cost of $70, no doubt. I don't begrudge any company from turning a profit on their products or services, but when you give your customers a choice between using their own memory sticks/hard drives or buying your offering at a huge price difference, then you shouldn't be surprised when most people take the former.
@TheBennettBrigade
I agree, but there will still be idiots who buy the branded drives because they don't realize there's no difference between a branded and non-branded drive. Parents buying for their kids see is the word "XBOX" and they buy it, not knowing that 3 aisles over they could get the same thing at 20% of the cost.
@nsdcx I agree. The expectation that some companies set about their pricing is just unrealistic, but the problem is that someone keeps buying them. We wouldn't need this update if the MS branded hard drives were't ridiculously overpriced compared to over the shelf notebook hard drives.
