Moneual pulls a 360 with its MiNEW M11 desktop
Some of Moneual's HTPCs may have gone unchanged in almost three years -- save for an unforgettable gold-plated, jewel-laden model at this year's CES -- but the company has now at least churned out a fairly eye-catching, if somewhat familiar-looking desktop with its new MiNEW M11 model. Unfortunately, while the M11 does slim things down considerably over the previous M10 model, it doesn't offer much in the way of upgraded specs, with this one packing just a 2.93GHz Pentium E6500 processor, 2GB of RAM, and NVIDIA GT220 graphics (in the base model, at least). Hopefully that also means it'll pack a similarly low-end price, but there's no word on that or availability just yet.

Does it come with a controller or a keyboard?
@elijahblake
Do you have to buy over priced hard drives, pay to go online, pay for WiFi and RROD?
@elijahblake I cant wait for the HTC HTPC HD3 LTE.
Does this one have the RROD too?
@coolbho3000
First device ever to pull off the legendary RROD-BSOD combo.
@coolbho3000 Its not about "does", its about "when" ;)
yellow ring of death?
I bought one of Moneual's HTPC cases myself, and I pretty much completely regret it.
It's not a bad case or anything, I just had money in the budget left over, so I got one of the cases with a 7" screen and IR built in.
The second screen causes a ton of issues in Windows because whenever I turn the receiver off, it tries to auto-switch the main desktop to the 7" screen.
And the built-in IR is iMon, and is total crap for Windows Media Center. Microsoft's own Philips IR receiver works much better, even if it is external.
Now that I got that off-topic complaint out of the way, this new one looks decent, but more like a mix of a 360 and a Wii to my eye than just a 360.
I just saw the 360 in the headline an thought this was modded xbox 360. It looks kinda similar.
What's the OS? With those specs the machine can run full 1080p movies in Boxee/XBMC or MythTV with no problem, including Blu-Ray rips.
It has a nice aesthetic to it.
A KIRF Xbox360 case that looks slightly better than the original? I'll take 2.
I'm in love.
Engadget, I envy you and your witty puns!
IS that a Black and Neon Green Wii60?
Let me guess, no built in WiFi and we'll have to pay $50 a year to use it?
