The specs are nice, but thank god that lid graphic is optional.. yeahno.
@Prokanda flames make it faster. if it doesn't have a distasteful graphic on the lid its not a true gaming laptop.
@kojo87: kind of like stickers on cars, only 100Mhz per flame in this case?
With a horrible look like that I don't even want to read the specs or the price. I know the flames are optional, but they need to show the more conservative version alongside it. My immediate reaction would be to look away as there's just way too much choice these days.
It just screams of "I'm a 15yo with rich parents"
i know the name sucks, but why does everyone hate on ibuypower? im not trying to defend them, its just and honest question.
@srghyc did you even LOOK at the cover of this laptop? lolz
@CaptainPlanet theyre option. im more concerned about bad pricing or build quality...
@srghyc
I've read a lot of customer reviews from people that sadly got suckered in by the low prices and flashy exteriors. That's scared me way when I was PC shopping last October.
@srghyc
they have possibly the worst reputations for build quality in the industry. you are bound to get shipped a unit with *something* broken and good luck getting it repaired.
@srghyc
Crappy customer service.
I wish gaming laptops didn't try so hard to look 'cool' and 'edgy'. At least it's optional.
Don't you mean "keeps things flashy"?
@Goc: I believe Joseph had the /s tag on.
Painted flames - long the indicator of the highest levels of class.
@paul34
The flame make it go faster, you know, like on cars?
what we need is a gaming laptop that looks simple, has the best hardware u can put in a laptop and the best cooling system u can put in a laptop
I REALLY hate where the connector is for an external display.
Yeesh, need to stop giving iBUYPOWER advertising. I'd rather buy a dekstop still using a P3 than buy anything from that shitty company.
And to anyone wondering why no gaming laptop is classy looking. Go look up the Sager NP8760. Easily the classiest looking gaming notebook to ever come into existence. It could easily pass for a business laptop.
IBUYPOWER had another FLAMEOUT on this laptop! >.>
That name is so bad, they need to change it badly. It was some cheap domain name they had to settle for, and now its on labels? geez.
Have not heard too many good things about this outfit.
I think with an i7 in there, painting flames on it is just tempting fate.
Illuminated keyboard please. Seem like Alienware is the only one who does that. Until then, I'm still happy with my 1yr old Intel T8300 Asus.
Need for (Computer) Speed: Flames.
I seriously don't get why the motor tuning and the computer gaming scenes are so obsessed with vandalizing their machines with these stickers, vinly, and not to mention those awful designs. Is it supposed to catch my eye or something?
"classy" is so the wrong word for something with those flames on the lid
too bad. I love the multi-touch,but am concerned about build quality.
I guess I'll stick with a similarly spec'd dell.
