Screw just Android, this should be coming EVERYWHERE. The iPad doesn't do Flash or Silverlight, so this is probably just streaming MP4 files, or something else every device in the world supports. This thing SHOULD be on Android, WebOS, WinMo, etc...
@EGOvoruhk No kidding. Hopefully Flash on these devices will lure Netflix to make an app. What the hell is the ETA for flash on mobile devices anyways?
@sonola777 Are you considering, it's an iPad app which means you don't have it? NetFlix did a survey about streaming to the DS and mobile phones, that along with the Windows 7 Series demo makes it clear this'll be available for everything under the sun so NetFlix can hand out those 2 week trails to every human alive.
@EGOvoruhk You do realize that Flash streams h.264 files, On2 files and the very old legacy encoded format (I forgot the name). I would not be surprised in the least if Netflix has been serving h.264 through the Flash player for years.
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
