The JooJoo is here... seriously (updated with video)

Of all days for this thing to arrive... it had to be today. Yes folks, as you can see in our gallery below, the JooJoo is not only real, but we've got one. We're not going to go into details right now, as we've got our hands kind of full this week, but we suggest you hang tight until our review hits (probably early next week) so you can make the final decision if it's going to be this thing or, you know, some other tablet. Or maybe you just want to keep that $500. Hey, it's your call, pal. For now, check out our unboxing, and at least breathe a sigh of relief that if you did shell out for one of these, it's likely going to hit your doorstep pretty darn soon.

Update: Hey folks, we've got a video encoding right now which runs through some of the UI of the device. We hear you in comments, and would like to let you know that there's no conspiracy here -- it's a question of spending time with a device to review it properly. Unless you know what our schedule is like, we'd appreciate everyone chilling out on the episodes in comments. We're happy to shut them off on this post if you can't control yourselves.

Well i know your schedule, Your supposed to post (at all times) things that we are interested in reading, This is easily one of the most interesting things to be posted in a few days....... taking a video while you were unboxing it and putting it up with this post w/boot up videos Would have taken FAR too much time away from the iPad coverage? Are you serious?!

Way to treat your readers like they are children "Hey, We have iPads apps to review, and videos of demos of iPad apps to review, We dont have time to review a completely new OS UI and Device Right now"

@FrankJL On a side note. The ipad is the biggest news right now. I am on the fork road not knowing which direction to take. So engadget take your time i need a profound review on this product. I would be pissed if i shell out 500 bucks to find out i dont like it and the other tablet is more bang for the buck.

the iPad isn't here for a couple days, and seeing how after taking your poll earlier only like 12-15% of your readers are even getting one Day 1...why side-line a great contender with a lot of potential...especially when I'm sure the maker gave it extra consideration to get it to you guys quickly...seems unfair and counter-intuitive if you're trying to give your readers what they wanna want.
I'm even getting an iPad 3G and this upsets me

Oh, and I almost forgot, you guys really need to get a competent web design staff.

Since I seem to have the floor to myself, I feel that I should mention that turning off comments because you don't like what they're saying is just as immature as some of the comments are. Just give a clear reason and let stupid people be stupid if they're going to. In this case, it doesn't seem that anyone was even being offensive towards anyone other than perhaps the Engadget staff, but it's not the engadget staff that let this site exist.

Just an opinion.
