Is this an extra thick mirror? Sign me up for 3!
Well ...hello there sexy ...

Hello thar =] I'm no hoe, don't get me wrong. I think this will work.
@tklr08
I was talking to that thin beauty, sorry for the confusion
@grummy

@tklr08
Oh jeez, you guys make me LOL

Isn't that thing just a bit thick?
@Waltah

I want my hovercar black
Or red with grey stripes
@Lord Vader Can I order one in Banana-yellow please? Apple-red is not my thing...
@BSGadgetoffmylawnuffsaid. (waves hand) Apple-Red is my thing...
@Lord Vader "You are right... Apple-red is my thing" *wondering where that came from*
@Lord Vader
You can only get your hovercraft in Vader black or storm trooper white
I still think this thing is way too expensive for what it offers. Still it's a very nice product.
@ScienceProUSAcom
Just consider that for about the same price as one of these, you could get both an iPad and Kindle.
@ScienceProUSAcom
Definitely way too pricey.
The kindle and basically every ereader out there costs less than this thing. A LOT less.
I've seen video of the prototype and page loading/turning was quite slow. This was one of the issues they wanted to deal with. I'm not sure if they fixed it.
It looks nice. But, all it's just a black slab. Everything with a black border looks nice.
A hyperintelligent shade of the color blue.
@User Formerly Known as Dave
That would be a Hooloovoo wouldn't it?
@Onijin
it could be smarboo, hi-iqblu or smarterthanublu
@User Formerly Known as Dave That's impossible!! ;P
@Onijin Could be!
@hated one lol
I was going to get one, but the iPad fits what I needed to do and I have it in hand already.
Sorry Plastic Logic I wanted one so bad.
Or maybe I should say thanks for the delay or I would have been stuck with a device just to read .docs.
@hated one
not better than the kindle app for windows loaded on an hp slate. I can read my books over HDMI on my tv screen. Now I know thats not a realistic usage senario but It owns your iPad.
always got to wait a bit longer for something better to come along.
wouldn't it be nice if the iPad maintains it's capabilities but becomes that thin and light? it may not be technically possible now...but here's to hoping someday...
@Toshi I wonder how videochatting would be on a e ink display :)
Oh, you used a slate and ipad already to compare the two ?
I'd like to see vids regarding this device?
Software? Specs?
That one picture doesn't cut it Engadget. But it is enticing...
@TheLondonExchange
go to YouTube and search "plastic logic".
You know, hand models must be rolling in the dough lately. Ever since that guys hand introduced everyone to the original iPhone, manicured man-hands have been on almost all non-Korean advertisements. Anyway, any e-ink device interests me, because more than having an iPad or a Slate, I'm interesting in KEEPING my eyes, which an LCD just isn't gonna help me with.
@Valicore my girlfriends kindle is just awesome. how a monochrome screen this day and age can still make me stare at it claiming how goods it looks to my uncaring girlfriend just amazes me, but it is that good.
the annoying thing is once again it takes Apple to get the eBook market rolling for all the idiotic sheeple out there who can't use their own brains and discover something for themselves. the ipad is for light reading at most, but is no way a replacement for a real book, unlike an eInk reader.
basically it is a nice feature to have on the iPad, so is a camera on a phone, but it won't be as good. if you want to read for hours and hours you really need both devices. the iPad as a proper eBook reader is best left to the fanboys to justify and ignored by the people who have a clue.
@pavelbure Does it really even matter if he has used both the iPad and the HP Slate? The iPad is not about content creation in any form whatsoever.. It is ONLY about media consumption. While that may be just perfect for some, its clearly not for the rest of us. And that is why we are upset with it, we wanted more.. a lot more.. and we got pretty much nothing.
@Luxury Guy The iPad was anounced back in January. And you're still upset about it??? Seek some help, man.
What's this thng? A vapour-ware tea tray?
Too late, too expensive. Sad. Bye bye Plastic Logic. Yet another bunch of scientists with no commercial sense. Go and next to the JooJoo guys over there.
