Toe Mouse!
You know what, the more we look at this thing, the less crazy we think it is. While the concept of mousing around your desktop on foot may appear foreign at first, we imagine we can get used to it after a while. Not that it's designed for lazybones like us anyway, as the wireless Toe Mouse concept is primarily intended to help out people with upper limb disabilities, who aren't able to navigate in the usual manner. Just to score some extra flair points, designer Liu Yi also points out it has a "streamline model that symbolizes the motorboat surfing the internet." So it's not just practical, it's also poetic. I'm really glad I was able to learn about this . . . now my life is complete.
@PastorTom
Welcome back engadget! thisk kind of news I've been waiting for - not that crappy gadget that start with "i"
@grummy true, hope they dont call it the iToe or something
@grummy
Completely agreed. What a freaking cool nerd gadget to have for couch surfing with a bluetooth keyboard and Internet on the plasma and not dealing with a sepaate air mouse or using a crappy trackpad
@PastorTom
Now I can use my hands freely while browsing pr0n.
@grummy booowhhoooo
@PastorTom
Has anyone considered how useful this is for a person who are physically handicapped? Come on, stop being so self-centred.
@PastorTom
can you imagine surf the web with 2 hands free???
fapfapfpafapfpafpfpafpapfapfpafpapfapfapfpa
@Kurian
I can understand one hand doing the up and down movements, but what's the other one doing? And I guess you'll be in store for toe tunnel lol!
@Atro but dont they name everything with an "i" if it's magical and revolutionary?
@grummy
oh you mean the IdeaPad from Lenovo?
@Atro
apple has already patented every word in the dictionary, all they did was put the i in front kinda like the site were on, what is it ohh iEngadget
@hero785
I barely get full coverage when I stack both hands.
@hero785 Maybe you can use it for when one arm just gets too sore to use a regular mouse
@PastorTom Actually this is not the 1st time, yanko design made some... pretty interesting device. See this transformers-like laptop: http://bit.ly/transformer-laptop-for-the-win
YES!!!
@Steve2000 FINALLY!!!
@Tuan X
Agree. Finally.
I've thought that over 20 years ago, and named it as RAT.
i dont want my guest smelly feet on my mouse...
@snowrid3r Your guests have smelly feet? I don't want them in my house.
would love to have one even if I dont have any disabilities.
What are "upper limp disabilities"?
@Etrigan A typo that has since been corrected. Thanks, wise guy :)
@Etrigan phantom rings, ringxiety and fauxcellarm? =D.
Two wise guys are better than one, right Vlad?
@juanvaldez I'm going to give myself my 2nd joke fail in as many days. I read your comment as upper limb disabilities and thought they changed it to something meaning upper body. ugh.
Now, that deserves a patent.
@Atkins
Apples got it covered.
Say, where did Mr. Yanko disappear to from his room at MIT ...
@Atkins
iToemouse- "what we did here, was revolutionize the mouse, it's magical"
Eww.. imagine picking up a used one on craigslist...
@Honza Either way these things should be built to withstand industrial strength cleaners.
@Honza Or a vagina joystick.....with force feedback..
Fungus 2.0
I'm left footed ... do they have one for me?
@nuck And more importantly do they sell them as a set for multitouch?
@nuck
Nucks fans officially have infiltrated every aspect of society. It's finally happened.
@nuck
With 66 comments, I figured someone had already beaten me to this joke.... :-)
Oh mah gawd! Now my hands never have to leave my keyboard. =O
@Slygathor You sure that's where your hands are resting?
@MowDownJoe
He doesn't need both of them.
@MowDownJoe I'm pretty sure I only need 1 hand for to do teh 5 knuckle shuffle. ;)
@Slygathor Just one? I need both...damn you non-girth having bastards....lmao
@Chris DPSN AggieCEO XBLThe Aggi
Er...your doing it wrong...that's your leg...
:p
Poetic or Toetic?
@Duckman +1 for throwing yourself on the line even when a play on words isn't funny. Eh, actually just +1 comment. No rating change.
@Duckman
Toetic Justice?
No, no, no. The fact that we use our hand is that we have a better control of it. You don't have a good accuracy with your feet.
Besides, I would never use someone else's Feet Mouse.
@SewerShark
Consider this for one moment, you don't have any hands. Capiche?
@hardluckstories If you don't have any hand you can't even use the fricking keyboard, and still you would have a poor mouse accuracy and feet fungus.
@hardluckstories
your avatar is arousing and terrifying at the same time...
@Duckman I would hit it...the avatar, I mean.
