iPhone OS 4 keynote video now online
Sure, you devoured every word of the liveblog (or perhaps just casually refreshed throughout the day, who are we to judge), but if you want to see the Steve Jobs-delivered iPhone OS 4 keynote with your own two eyes, the streaming video is now online. Multitask your way on over!

@TheLondonExchange
haha, oh man, you got told. learn the difference between a rational preferance for one device over another and being completely rabid and aggressive about your fanboyism. PROTIP: jobs doesn't care about you.
sent from my macbook pro
@TheLondonExchange "all those devices... Doesn't manage to touch iPhone in sales..." Guess what? Mac is not even close to touch Windows in sales. Does that mean Windows is a better OS? BTW, I'm typing this on my iTouch so no hater BS please.
@TheLondonExchange "It seems to be getting more frequent now that you can't take unjustified potshots at the OS and the phone itself...."
No, I think it's because of your ignorance and writing style. But hey, that's just me.
@Uion1715 That is a great point, but then people just point to how it sells so well at its price point. Why are you bothering to use logic, like they will learn? Heh. Just look at his wording, it's ripe with ignorance.
First he is talking about previous success and says, well, this has worked for 3 years, we don't even need to improve (music to Apple's ears btw). The marketplace is evolving and he just thinks Apple can sit on their hands because they've sold 44-45 million phones, then goes so far as to say that Apple's number is inaccurate.
Then he implies that, with these things, it'd actually be less successful (I'm sure I can listen to an argument on this possibility, but not from a "blind" attorney). So, maybe they would've sold 10 million phones if they had multitasking, I guess that's part of his point? It's really impossible to tell, maybe he actually leaves enough doubt that it could've been more successful...
Maybe it's just like many haters say, "It's not a necessary feature until Apple says it is and implements it."
@safe travels
Ha, Lady GaGa is by far the most talented pop singer in the industry. Who writes every single one of their songs and co-produces the songs themsleves? Who had every single one of his/her singles make it to #1 on the charts?
@phoenix004
Ha, dude if you had to use one of the dumbphone OS's (that includes iPhone) after getting even slightly used to Android multitasking then you would shoot yourself every time you had to check and email or send a text message since you would have to totally abandon when you were doing...and you'll definitely miss the notifications, you don't think you will but the first time you get notification that says "HEY STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND LOOK AT THIS! YOU A HAVE A TEXT MESSAGE FROM THIS PERSON!!!!!!!! SORRY I JUST @#$%ED UP WHATEVER YOU WERE DOING...reply or ignore" on another phone you'll hurl it against the wall, I bet money on it :-), Android is the bomb it's just a little messy but is ever expanding.
@phoenix004 Your comment is interesting. I read the very long Nexus One review at Anandtech and he said quite plainly that every app he likes from Apple's marketplace has an Android version. Obviously there's more on Apple's than Android's, but his point was anything really good or important is already on both. He also said he is for now sticking with his iPhone. So I'm curious, what apps are you talking about?
sure would be nice if I could watch the keynote - on Apple's own website - on my IPAD!!!!
@phoenix004 Please don't pretend you have a Droid.
Of course the video doesn't play on the iPad...
ok maybe its me, but when i try to watch the video of this link on my ipad , its a no go, but ok on my windows machine. surly not
looks like im not on my own, how crazy is this
After bible, the most famous book in history, "winnie the pooh" will come second.
@u01iz
You're assuming every single one of Apples customers are Christian. Businesses should never get so into religion.

I'm really interested in that game center app. I wonder how it'll turn out . I hope it's like xbox live and psn
@phoenix004
Finally you can run 300 farting apps at once... YAY!! MULTITASKING!!!
@ssgadget How is the experience going to be "bad"? Users don't have to click on the ads. This is not like the Zune where you are forced to watch the ads.
iphone OS update?
Endaget just had another orgasm.
Steve Jobs: “We shipped on Saturday, and rested on Sunday.”
Who has the God complex?
For your information, I have filed a patent application for the specific use of words "magical", "phenomenal", "extra-ordinary" ... Expect my lawyers to knock your door if you ever use these words...
@pika2000
have to admit that having an ads system built into the OS where there wasn't one before is pretty sucky.
Gosh, screw this. Why can't the old models of iPhone/iPod Touch "Support" OS 4.0? The first time Apple gets their act together, they screw their early Kool-Aid drinkers. So, I say, screw you Apple.
@PopRocks
Because the hardware on a three year old device (like mine) isn't strong enough?
Have you ever tried to use Windows XP on a 15 year old computer? Its a baaaad experience.
I have a first gen iPod touch, and I'm ready to get a 3rd gen now and pass this on to a family member.
I suggest you do the same.
@PopRocks Why don't you also ask Google/HTC on why they are not releasing official Android OS 2.0 on the G1/myTouch 3G. Ask Nokia why they are not releasing OVI maps/latest S60 OS on all their older N/E series phones. Ask MS why they're not releasing WinPho7 for all current Winmo 6.x devices.
@pika2000
With the latest firmware 4.5 update, Zune HD no longer has ads for anything.
iAds will actually force developers away from AdMob, and with the Acquisition of AdMob by Google being in limbo, AdMob will inevitably die...
care to chime in Lord Vaider?
@safe travels Based on what we see, how is that going to be "sucky"? The iAd is on the OS only as a framework. It's up to the devs to utilize it or not.
Is it just me, or does Steve need some new outfits?
Ya sorry, not that impressed, actually very unimpressed. Sprint EVO...here I come! Very excited about this phone actually. iphone was great but finally a better network and everything I want in phone, plus this will be my first Android device...very excited.
im pretty sure i saw this guy on 'to catch a predator' last night.
@Bibbit I'm an N1 user coming from a 3GS......its not about android having my favorite apps from the app store....its about what the apps can do. first that comes to mind is facebook....on the iphone, the app was so good, i stopped actually going to the website....the android app...well i don't use it, i have it as a bookmark.....the app is garbage.
watch the keynote.....you know its sad when the ads in iAd are more robust than many of the android apps that I want.
I'll be going back to my iPhone as soon as this drops.....anyone want to buy an unlocked N1?
@ummmwhat excuse me....an unlocked and rooted N1.....tmobile bands.
that multitaskin is so blackberry
Why would I waste my time watching something where the tag line is f you, you can't get it on your iPad or iPhone 3g?
WOW. Now that I've watched the movie I can say this emphatically that Apple REALLY wants iPhone the be like Palm's WebOS. As they say, Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Only thing is it still does not do any of those things as well, attractive or efficiently. Oh well. Something to keep the lemmings happy. Palms WebOS still kicks iPhone's ass.
@ssgadget "iAIDS?" I didn't know Apple was that evil... I kid, I kid.
The iphone has been doing these features for a long time now. Jailbreak anyone??????
@custmmade
At least you can be assured that it will never crash your device. When I had my iPhone jailbroken, the Categories app ate every single one of the shortcuts I put in a specfic folder. Yes, it was my fault, but now my stupidity won't require a restoration of my phone. Ad that ProSwitcher/Backgrounder really did ruin my processor speed and battery life on my 3GS, even.
no multi tasking and worse
Why Apple’s new operating system is rotten
http://dailycaller.com/2010/04/09/why-apples-new-operating-system-is-rotten/2/
So, does this mean that all the existing apps for the iphone will not be able to mutitask since it requires you to run specific api that isn't written in the code of all existing applications? It seems to me that multitasking would only apply for any new software since its not 'true' multitasking
@dswatson83
Devs just have to insert some code and ship out an update to use the new multitasking functionalities. Even if some apps don't need to use the 7 main features of the multitasking listed in the keynote, they can still enable them to remain "on" while you switch apps
Anyone else get a little chuckle at how Apple says HTML5 is better for web video, but they continue to push this Quicktime BS? I want to watch the video to see everything was said, but I don't want to install Quicktime just do it. Guess I'll search Youtube for a link or something.
Oh the irony! I can't watch the iPhone 4 OS video on my iPhone 3G. Maybe it's an unsupported feature for my hardware version!
@pretol
When will people stop referring to every single iPhone app as being a fart app? Seriously, there were never as many of those as you are implying.
Really Steve...really...magical..? Innovative? Those iLemmings are true to faith but I must say you delivery was almost believable but...multi-tasking....really....that was like so last year...and folders/wallpaper...hooo haaa.....? You mean the stuff most smartphones have right of the bat took 4 generations of iPhones to achieve...and unified mailbox...have you heard of blackberries...you know they've been doing it for a while now...
Of course you'll now send your gestapo out to sue everyone pants off because "you" did it first....really...?
