T-Mobile's myTouch Slide earns its FCC wings?
Seeing HTC leak a shot of a product through a confidential FCC filing is about as rare as a confirmed yeti sighting, so you can imagine our excitement with this fresh meat that just landed in the Fed's files today. What is it, exactly? Well, it's a smartphone running 3G on WCDMA Band IV, which -- for those who don't have their bands memorized -- is the AWS spectrum that T-Mobile uses. In other words, we'd bet our bottom dollar that this is the rumored Android-equipped myTouch Slide that we're looking at here -- and with a Spring launch window having been rumored in the past, this certification looks like it's running right on time. Your move, T-Mobile.

please turn the the phone over... I just want to take a peak if you mind
could this be the true successor to the g1???
@Alexpeegs
if any of u actually used the first mytouch, the phone is soo sluggish/slow I can't believe they actually sells this
@hbueain I've had mine since launch. Occasional hiccups aside, its not sluggish. Stop loading so many widgets.
myTouch Slide sounds like a new line of KY lube.
@ssgadget
Yeah, kinda like quicksand.
now compare this to OS 4.0 I think you know who won.................................Android...go ahead fanboys lawl
This is probably the T-Mobile G1 replacement or successor.
@Mrtoocool -- I was in a TMO store a few weeks back, and an employee said they're "relaunching" the G1 soon -- which I thought was odd (I didn't ask the obv. follow-up questions). He also said their HTC rep was in the store recently, and that HTC has "a few" new phones coming to TMO this year. (I asked about Moto, and he said he believed they're "done for the year"...)
(this was all re: *Android* phones specifically, btw)
@mpv
Nice thanks for the info bro.
@mpv
Employees tend to know nothing about future launches.
@mpv They don't tell us reps much, if anything. Almost all I've learned about upcoming devices has been from blogs.
Im off contract and bought a magic on craigslist to tide me over to the perfect phone, this aint it.
well this have htc sence
@icyazn
No because it's a MyTouch phone. But it will have spellcheck.
HTC Don't you have some thing new?
All HTC Phones in Market has same hardware just add a feature or removed feature and the most funny part is some time u Just mod your sense interface and call the same old product with new name.
HTC you can't keep fooling people for long time so try doing some thing truly innovative.
@abimanyu Like the EVO?
What I want is to be able to use the TMo Sidekick Prepaid plan with something other then the sidekick.
looks like it has a camera flash!
Ehhh.... Blah.. About as exciting as diareaha
@Ziegler
What ever happened to the March launch of the Motorola xt720? Any idea?
Sorry to go off-topic, but I am the President.
@PresidentObama -- is that the Motoroi? I've given up waiting for news; guess we'll see it later this year, or maybe not (see my comment above re: Moto)
@mpv Yeah, the Motoroi. It's fallen off the radar. Sucks, because it's the only smartphone on the horizon with top-notch camera and video capabilities. Maybe we gotta go to S. Korea.
omg omg omg!!!! I hope it is the g1 successor. I love my g1 to bits but the fact that there most likely won't be any more updates past cupcake, sounds like a deal! I just hope its also aesthetically pleasing too
kinda looks like my old palm pilot... 0_o
$400 off contract please? It'd be sold if it was. I just need something a little more modern then the G1 and a little less suffocated to death by Blur like the Cliq.
Did no one get the dirty inappropiate reference from the title? wow im shocked no one said anything :(
As long as it comes with a 5-row keyboard, im sold.
I've been with the Sidekick for too long and I feel its time to retire it.
@ElectroPop - I felt the same way, but when teh G1 first came out 15+ months ago, I was sold. 5 -row BB, touch screen, GPS, 3G and wifi? That was my dream phone. I really hope this successor kicks some serious ass.
Will it support Unicode or continue to treat Latin as the sole writing system in the world?
if this is promising with a PRETTY GOOD processor past that 528 mhz shit, i will upgrade.
If its not, then i'll wait for a high end android phone to hit T-Mobile. I will most likely be sacrificing a physical QWERTY keyboard, but i know the phone will most likely run really good and i'll be able to have a good experience on it.
This is crap.
People want Snapdragons, not that old garbage hardware, but now with a keyboard.
@marik1234
Does saying fuck all the time make you feel good?
Month names should not be capitalized.
@balazer I mean season names, gosh darn it. Where's the edit on this thing?
