Verizon's HTC Incredible gets a user's manual
You can't buy an Incredible from Verizon just yet, but we're getting awfully close -- and in the meantime, you've got some exciting new reading material to pore over. It looks like the full, unabridged, seemingly final version of the phone's user's manual has just leaked over on Android Forums, and while there aren't any blockbuster revelations in here as far as we can tell, it confirms what we've long suspected: this is basically a CDMA Desire with an 8 megapixel camera. You've got the full Sense UI experience atop Android 2.1, a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED display, 1GHz Snapdragon, and an optical joystick -- a new trend out of HTC that looks destined to completely supplant the trackball, much as it has already done for RIM. Around back, we've got some confirmation that the Incredible is going to feature a positively bizarre contoured battery cover; it might not be your first choice, but honestly, you're not going to let that stop you from buying, now, are you?

@lovelifealways
You can do that without rooting. Just go into Applications -> HTC Sense and click Clear Defaults.
Boom. Done.
@Johnny Rockets
stop lying... it only switches the sense home app to launcher (vanilla) home app.. the rosie framework (great but battery drainer), sense apps, interface (elsewhere), etc is still there...... only way to go true vanilla is root
Does anyone think Verizon will get some flavor of one of the new 4.3" screen phones that are starting to come out? After playing with the HTC HD2, i realized that a 4.3" screen is NOT too big .. and i'd actually prefer it over the 3.7". Seems to be more usable, the keyboard keys are much larger .. etc. And it fits in my pocket juuuust fine :)
@hated one, if most iPhones user love the phone then I really doubt the early termination fee is going to be an issue.
Yeah my wife will be getting my Droid when this baby drops.
Does anyone know if the camera pokes out? From the pictures, it looks like it pokes out, like a bump on the back of the phone, instead of being recessed.
Incredible + QWERTY = I'm in.
I am assuming the reason why we haven't seen the Verizon Nexus One is because:
The "Big Surprise" is that there will be two Incredibles, one with be sold through Google without "HTC Sense" and a Google logo (with stock 2.1 Android) on it as seen in some leaked pics, and a Verizon one sold by Verizon with their name on it as seen in some leaked pics, and w/ HTC Sense.
So basically there will be no Nexus One for Verizon... Instead a new an improved Google Phone called?? (Incredible or just Nexus Two?)
@quick

I was hoping to see the full phone demo at CITA to compare to EVO so I can make up my mind which carrier to move from AT&T. IF AT&T DOESN'T GETS A GOOD ASS ANDROID PHONE by my upgrade.
HTC Droid seams like a really Incredible device these days coming with 3.7-inches display, 8 megapixel camera and 1 Ghz processor.
