Nokia teases 'everyone connect,' keep your hands to yourselves until then
No idea what this is but the Twitterverse has an inkling that we'll see Ovi Maps integrated with Nokia Messaging. Jury's still out on hardware like, say, the N8-00 -- though as the rumored flagship S^3 device we'd expect its reveal to be a bit more formal than a countdown.

If it's an announcement like Free Ovi Maps or something, or DRM free comes with music, I am happy as a fat girl with cake
@Cynical Hippie
It could be that Nokia money finally being available for countries besides India
@Cynical Hippie i'd rather be the fat girl with the N8-00.
IWANTMESOMEOFTHAT!
@brrip : "i'd rather be the fat girl with the N8-00" -- Mmm, Shards O'Glass Cake!
@Cynical Hippie
lets hope they finally announce OVI MAPS for all symbian devices!
my GF was given a SE SATIO from her work and we can't get OVI MAPS on it :( major bummer :(
@liquidmonkey
That's simply not going to happen, ever. That is an extra service to make people choose Nokia's Symbian phones over SE's and Samsung's. It would be like having Nokia Messaging on those, unlikely at least and rather impossible.
@liquidmonkey thats probably due to the fact that Sony Ericsson ISNT Nokia.
hence a nokia application isnt released for another make of phone
brain malfunction?
I think an affordable messaging device (probably previously leaked Nokia Mystique, the one with QWERTY keyboard) will be announced. Check http://forum2.mobile-review.com/showpost.php?p=854824&postcount=17862 For proof, set your system time to 13.04.2010 / 10:00 GMT and check the site, you'll see the same.
There's still time for Nokia Vasco (N8-00) and I'm waiting for it too.
Cant wait.....:/
Yawn. Nokia needs to start evolving soon. Symbian and their phones are dinosaurs.
@nutbunnies As an N900 owner I respectfully disagree. Maemo is already a top notch platform and new Symbian version is coming this month. And on the hardware side high end Nokia are just fine.
@franchg
I thought S^3 was more of a rehash/simplification of S60v5 (ie. S^1 v5) and that S^4 was the totally redone (ie QT) Symbian OS.
I don't understand why Nokia is pushing S^3 with S^4 supposed to be coming out on phones in 6-9 months from now (I would be extremely surprised if Nokia uprgraded the OS on S^3 phones when S^4 is released)
@corduroy
I doubt S^4 will be ready 6-9 months from the S^3. More like 12-24 months as it is still unspecced and pretty much in the air.
@franchg
Hardware side are okay? Hmm..I bought the 5800 xpresmusic. Plastic all over. Outdated OS. Creaks n squeaks.
Then i bought the 'flagship' (dont know whether to cry or laugh) n97. Still poor OS. Keyboard buttons have little tactile feedback with spacebar key at far right on keyboard. Lens protector actually scratches the lens when you move it (search google).
I'v always been a dedicated nokia fan but not anymore. Moving to android or apple. Still cant make my mind up. Either way, both are better than symbian and nokias recent offerings
@newone
well that's exactly Symbian's plan. New version every six months. New productized version of the OS three months after each OS release.
Please Please be a viewing of the first nokia running Symbian^3
@grapeDrank Maybe in the US. We can care less to Palm since it hasn't released any phone in the rest of the world.
@grapeDrank Fine. Extend the anxiety for Palm to the whole North America. :)
@franchg
The pre owners in the UK, Spain, Ireland, Germany and Mexico surely appreciate your concern frenchg!
FYI, if you "can care less" it means that you do care.
@franchg
I'm in Ireland and O2 has the Pre. Tough to buy knowing that there's a Pre Plus ready to be launched, probably the day after I upgrade, but it is here.
@good grief point taken. I really didn't know Palm sold also outside US.
Feel free to downrank me.
Ovi app for the iPad?
@(Unverified)
Not sure but is the Apple equivilent cloud services free? If not, Ovi would be freaking nice on an Ipad seeing as how it's integrated services and it's completely free.
@(Unverified) May as well be Nokia Messaging for the Blackberry
@brrip Nokia has a BB equivalent. It's called Ovi Talk
@Cynical Hippie
No... It's called Nokia Messaging.
@Goc i know. i meant the app store is far superior to ovi, so ovi going to iphone is useless as giving ovi messaging to blackberry. i should really start using sarcasm tags :S
@brrip
I know exactly what you meant, my comment wasn't directed at you. Read it again.
@Goc
no, that's the email. He's talking about an exclusive IM client. Ovi has that, and it isn't always bundled in with NM.
Nokia buys Palm, Nokia penetrates successfully the US market, Apple start patent sues all over the place. Me enjoys the whole show.
Here is some wishful thinking but i don't think this will ever happen. Oh well..
@Sor1
I highly doubt Apple would wish to go against Nokia's and Palm's patents. Though it might go after smaller companies.
Nokia to announce acquisition of Palm = Jobs Jezz in his pants
@Nino
Would be fun.

@creepin
Good find!
I think its Ovi Maps & Twitter integration in Nokia Messaging, and possibly the incoporation location based services as checking in & mayoring.
Maybe they'll show of some new phones that are coming out soon.
