Official: Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus hitting Vodafone and O2 Germany on April 28

Palm's news activity doesn't seem like abating any time soon, as the company has just made the Deutsch arrival date for its Plus-ified phones official as April 28. It matches earlier speculation about late April, but also -- very importantly -- introduces a new carrier options for our Teutonic brethren in the form of Vodafone. Formerly locked in with Telefonica (whose local representative is O2), Palm seems to have finally seen the error of its ways and started offering choice as a side dish to its delectable WebOS main course. So, forget about who's buying the company, will you be buying its phones?

OK. I need to make decission. Now I own an Ipod Touch 2nd gen and a Nokia E50.

Wont be able to upgrade to multitask on the iPad, dont like the tight lockin of Apple.Don't understand why I need more than once to pay for my internet experience, i want one fee for alle my Internet, at home and on the road.

What to do? Wait seems like the ultimate answer. I just dont see why i should have three internet subscriptions, one at home, one at the phone and one on my future tablet.

Choises are there, but its just too much with Android (too techy), Apple (too locked-in), Palm (is the software stable, and future-proof?), Windows 7 series phone series (Is it as load as an BWM 7 series??).

I guess the best option is to wait one more year and see if the subsciption plans get less expensive. So i'll stick with my iPod and my Nokia and wish they wont fall apart before more consolidated software updates in 2011.

Atleast it's a step in the right direction, Palm. Actually, i take that back, because as it turns out, Sweden is due north from germany. And kudos to you for getting vodafone onboard, but did it ever occur to you(PALM) that there are other countries in Europe, aside from UK, Germany and Spain(not sure about this one though :0)? Been waiting for a WebOS device since you dropped the bomb last year, and i know you can't just wave your wand and spawn a bunchload of Pre's/Pixi's, but how about just one? I'm waiting =)

The Palm Pre or Pixi may not even exist 6 months from now. The company is up for sale and nobody knows if the hardware division will continue producing the devices or simply shut down and focus on WebOS.
