The Engadget app for Android gets updated to 1.0.2 -- now with more widgets!
Update: We know there's an issue with the space the widget takes up, we're working on it!

Google Android 2.0
Google Android 2.1
A look back on popular stories from today in a specific year.

Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
So I know you guys _are_ engadget and you want to toot your own horn and all that.. But breaking news?! Seriously guys.
At least the iPhone version doesn't have a problem with widget size... but damn do I want that widget!
After the update, the app is crashing a lot. Please fix it.
Bugs:
Is there multitouch yet??????????
(After Josh absolutely and relentlessly railed against Android for it, this should be inexcusable haha)
Also, bugs:
The podcast player stops if you do anything else on the phone.
It should be able to run in the background. This isn't iPhone OS :)
One more, please color the Highly Ranked and Highest Ranked in their respective colors!
And if possible, add an option to view ONLY Highly/Highest Ranked?
Using the app right now! Weee
Still no VIDEO in the article?
Come on, Android can view Flash using Flash Lite ... at least in my HTC Desire.
I've gotten three force closes since installing the new version.
Nice! but I still think the Engadget app for the N900 is much better - it even has a very generic name, its called a "Web Browser". Cool stuff, isn't it?
If you click on the widget while its "loading" it'll crash the app.
How about posting video that actually plays on mobile device???? HELLO? Engadget? Anybody home?
So... you guys have these great apps for Android and iPhone and so on, that only reformat the website that works just fine in either browser, but half the site's content is still unviewable because it's in the form of Flash video...
Misplaced priorities?
I love how people bang on about how great web OS is then go out and buy an android or iPhone.
@Perrin21 I have an iPhone and I'm getting the Evo. I also have a Pre. Not to impugn Android but I've gotta say, webOS is pretty great.
@Perrin21 It would be foolish to buy a WebOS phone over an iPhone or an Android phone because of the fact that WebOS is practically dying (though hopefully won't die and is either picked up or - as in my dreams - incorporated into Android)
Engadget, you should make the widget availble in several sizes/heights. Hero users, for instance, have 7 home screens and I for one don't mind one of them occupying a large widget with geek news.
high res icons anyone?
What's up with some webOS love? I need some landscape action. And links are way too easy to open accidentally when you're scrolling. Then again I'll probably have the Evo by the time these matters are addressed.
Is there an Engadget widget for WM 6.1?
They should make the widget available in 4 sizes...4x1, 4x2, 4x3 and 4x4 and the larger 2 widgets should be practically the app itself with the ability to refresh or open the actual app on the top and move to the next/previous article on the bottom...basically like the touiteur widget...
Im getting error messages trying to open the app through the widget, not sure if its the phone or the app
WINMO PLEASE!!
Does this app allow logging in and commenting on articles? If not, I request this feature, as it would certainly be useful. Otherwise, loading the website on my mobile works just as well, and saves application space.
Menu - info its says 1.0.3
This widget is complete crap. It's not reloading. It's not auto scrolling, there's no way for me to do it myself. It's like you guys were doing the update and someone asked an intern to throw together a widget in 5 minutes and then without checking it out you just put it up on the market. You are bad nerds. But that's the way I always felt about AOL.
Hi Eric! I'm not sure you're the right person to report the following bug. I'm not sure if it's an error of Engadget app, Android [2.1], or perhaps Nexus One?
When I listen audio books using Ambling Bookplayer or when I listen TWIG podcasts using Twit.TV app, I always can close this app, answer or place phone calls, etc. After phone conversation ends, my audio application usually resumes automatically from the point it was interrupted. If it does not do it automatically, it stays as paused. But even if reboot the phone, my audio app remembers an exact place it was stopped, so I can resume playing.
But Engadget podcast doesn't work that way. It doesn't remember the point it was stopped on.
After somebody calls me, Engadget podcast doesn't automatically resume playing. It does not leave a notification icon either, so I need to either hold Home button to select a recent apparently (and surprisingly Engadget not always here, maybe because I switched to podcast from Engadget widget?) or start Engadget again. But when I start it again it start from the very beginning of a podcast!
The same thing happens if I pause the play, go to Home screen, possibly run some other app and then go to Engadget to resume listening. There is no way to resume, but only listen from scratch. This makes Engadget podcast almost unusable on Nexus One phone.
Then, I tried to manually move podcast application's slider to an approximate position it was interrupted. Oh, yes! Slider slides to the correct 38th minute position,... but audio still plays from the very beginning!
Now, here's why I'm not sure whose error it is: when I tried to listen to Engadget podcast using Google Listen app, it behaved the same weird buggy manner: no way for app to remember last playing position, no way for a user to scroll slider to start playing from some intermediate position.
An in addition I got several force closures from Engadget app. Quite rare occasion on a stable Nexus One phone.
