Game Gripper puts your Droid's D-pad where it belongs (video)
There's nothing better than a simple solution to a complex problem, and for Droid owners that problem is a keyboard that's not exactly well-suited for gaming. Having a D-pad is great, but having it on the wrong side is a bummer. The Game Gripper moves it over to a more appropriate position on the left and adds another eight buttons to boot, instantly converting one of the best Android handsets on the market into one of the best gaming handsets. From what we can tell the Gripper buttons simply press the keys below on the keyboard and, while we're guessing resulting button feel doesn't live up to professional gamer standards, we're decidedly intrigued -- especially for $15. If you're not convinced, check out the demo video after the break, but be prepared to be humming the Super Mario World theme to yourself all day before clicking that play button.

@taichi1082
Seconded.
Seriously, this would be great for all those emulators.
"be prepared to be humming the Super Mario World theme to yourself all day before clicking that play button."
I do that anyways.
not a bad idea, but I can't see carrying this around with my phone all the time. So it would most likely only be used at home, where I have better gaming platforms. Might work great for other though.
I'd like to see something like this for the Nexus One. I'd buy it in a heart beat.
@Brian
Then ask for it. If they get enough requests for certain phones, they'll attempt to create it!
I posted a link in a reply to the first comment so people could see it. Good luck! (I wish you were for the G1 like me though :P)
I bought. Thread on DroidForums says he is looking into switching to black instead of white. Either way, cool device. I can finally play my emulators without looking at my keypad every 5 seconds.
Seeing how AFAIK the droid is the largest selling handset this will just go in the -1 for Android fragmentation column. Meaning, if they had 3 devices that could account for (current) sales (levels); like the Droid, the Motoroi and the N1 then there would be these kind of accessories for more mobile phones due to an open market place. But, it's gift is it's curse and we just have to be willing to adopt these accessories and new devices, now matter how fragmented and give the incentive to produce the things that keep us happy and our phones utilized, rather than trying to limit the creativity of the marketplace.
That's the best accessories I've seen. Will it be available for all Android phones?! And the other thing is how did you get SUPER MARIO WORLD ON THEIR?
