This could be the fastest the podcast has ever been posted. Kudos to Team Engadget!
@mattman6
28hours to post the postcast. I suppose in a hipster world that does deserve kudos. It feels like the slacker lay abouts in the kin adds are the same people engadget hired to post the podcasts. Your kudos are "Trinkets in exchange for air kisses." http://www.engadget.com/2007/06/19/ubuntu-red-hat-and-microsoft-not-really-buddies/
Umm...If they didn't make advertisements with actresses then they would suck. They do 100 takes to make it perfect, so of course it isn't going to seem real. That's the difference between good and bad acting and why only a few actors dominate hollywood.
@DBX00 The real questions to ask Josh are: "Who makes adds with real people? Why ask of Microsoft what's not being asked of the others?"
Talking about being biased, damn you guys were cruel to the KIN. You judged it as a smartphone and sentenced it for everything it doesn't do. How about taking the time to think about what it actually does? First device on the market with the Zune service on a 3G network! That alone makes it more than attractive. How about not having to go in and out of apps to check on your friends? It's interesting how Microsoft's bar is always higher than the others, like the straight A's student that's just not cool enough for you so you always criticize them, and how you can manage to always find an excuse for the cool kid (Apple) that does stupid things but somehow it's ok with you cause they cool!
Good podcast.. Bunch of interesting topics this week. All this phone talk makes you realize just how wide open this market really is.
Great podcast as usual guys. So hilarious how you always bash on Palm as you rightfully should. I love how Joshua would hire Paul as Palms marketing guy and then at 58 minutes turned to Paul to talk about Apples macbook and he just froze. Rofl.....hes high on weed. Exactly what Palm needs. LOL i love you guys.
Totally agree with BobLeGrand, concerning Apple fanboyism....so unprofessional.
Isn't it possible that someone wants to get rid of a holly iphone to move to another platform ? It's seems it's the kind of thing that Nilay cannot even think of...really funny to hear, and makes this podcast lose all credibility. So for your information there are people (like me) who would just never ever buy another iphone (I have a 3G) and want to switch asap to another platform they think is much better. Hopefully next time you will try not deviate (like always) towards Apple products, no matter what the question is.
@guigui357 To add to the faboyism. For some reason that shall remain unknown to everybody, every computer in the world can run Windows OS, but when the Mac does it, it's says that they are great computers to be able to do what EVERY other computer on the planet can do. It wasn't: "Ouhhhh Windows is a great OS because you can take ANY, and i mean ANY computer on the planet, even the competition, and it will run!!!" Instead it a criticism about Microsoft on how windows computer can't run OSX when Microsoft has nothing to do with the hardware. Don't get me wrong here, i love these guys, but it's shit like that when they do that just pisses me off.
I'm really confused... how was the Engadget crew completely clueless about the 8GB of moviNAND flash memory in the HTC Droid Incredible. That's been known for weeks.
I typed "www.endgadget.com" in my browser's URL field, hit Enter and the browser opened Apple's home page. Anyone else see this?
Seriously though - jeeez! do paul, nilay and josh get stiffies every time they mention the word "apple"??
