NEC's 3D all-in-one PC set to polarize the market this year
It seems that even the fully-integrated desktop is not immune to the wiles of 3D. NEC has demonstrated an all-in-one desktop PC that features a Blu-ray player and an LCD display that, when paired with some inexpensive polarized glasses, adds a little depth to movie content. That's all we know about it at this point, other than a release date that's been pegged as happening sometime in 2010, with Impress indicating that it could even be sometime in the first half of this year. The question is, of course: will anyone buy it?

When will all this 3D rubbish end? I don't want to look at 3D if I have to wear glasses. 2D is fine, they just want you to buy new stuff.
@Fat Wombat
I was thinking the exact same thing. Now that the 2D images are as good as anyone wants them they need to find new sh*t for us to buy.
Now 3D racing games might be worth the scratch :).
@Fat Wombat Half of us are already wearing glasses. What bother would it be if they become 3D instead of 2D?
@Fat Wombat I actually quite like 3D movies. Avatar was spectacular, and I saw it twice: once in 2D and once in 3D. 3D was better by far.
@Fat Wombat There is one good outcome from this. When true glass-less 3D will come out and be affordable to the average Joe there will be lots and lots of 3D media to digest.
It solves the chicken and the egg problem.
@Fat Wombat
I'm ok with glasses too. What's your big gripe?
@Fat Wombat
I think this whole 3D push is BS...every seen the movie Blindness?
@Fat Wombat Away back to the 80's then, some of us can afford new tech and want to see advances in TV & Gaming, your like my da ffs
I'd polarize her
@Lee IV Holy cow, that was EXACTLY what I was gonna write.
@Lee IV
I wanna polarize her market, but you beat me to it! -_-
@Lee IV That's what she said.
@Lee IV : I can't see the side boob. :(
@Lee IV
Really? She isn't really good looking... Guess they look better when you're desperate.
This whole 3D thing is a vast conspiracy by cheap sunglass makers.
Why is shes using Windows Vista, teh Fuck!
@thanatos465
tis not vista! tis something else on top of 7
@Archon
she's running pdvd
Would the glasses I took back home from Avatar work?
@TareG
I believe so. They are the same generic polarized lenses as she is wearing.
Id put mine to better use to something like that as opposed to Avatar.
Mandatory "if girl comes with item for purchase, I would purchase" comment
I'll get a 3D computer when they release 3D games, specifically L4D2
@Archon
You can play almost any game if you have an nVidia GPU with nVidia 3D Vision.
She's not really typing is she?
creepy lady keeps staring at me...unsure if she realizes she doesn't need glasses to see me in 3D.
*disclaimer*: Roy Orbischang not included with product.
I can't get over those stupid glasses. I will never get into 3d. Total gimmick.
When a monitor can do 3D without the glasses I'll get interested. My question is have there been any studies on long term use of 3D glasses?

the only reason i even looked at this was because of the seemingly cute girl. verdict...shes not even cute.
interesting topic but im going to wait until we get better at 3D
@eddybreezy
And slightly mental. Look Her eyes are crossed!
That proves that 3D glasses can make the hottest babe look lame
@Girish
You should see her without the dark glasses first. In general ladies are more gorgeous in black ;)
