Dell Streak to bump up to Android 2.1 in September, hopefully shipping sometime before that

So, plenty of Dell goodies to choose from right now, but if you're a die hard Dell-making-mobiles follower, you've probably been pining for the Streak (previously known as the Mini 5) for much longer than is strictly healthy. What news for you? Well, the mini tablet is apparently supposed to be getting Android 2.1 in September. Unfortunately, there's no update on that vague "summer" launch window we have for the actual device, so who knows how much time you'll actually get to suffer without 2.1 holding you and telling you everything's alright. Oh, and were you concerned for some reason that you wouldn't be able to kit this thing out with accessories galore? We're pretty sure the collection you'll find in the gallery will alleviate all fears. You could do worse than a $55 spare battery, and the standard accessories are even pretty legit.

I love Apple fanboys. There view on what is bias/not bias is amazing.

You think 20 posts on 1 product, with each post giving little more information on the product(or in some cases no info at all) is fine in your book, but posting about multiple new Dell products is absolutely NOT OK and considered bias... That's some Drank you be Drankin'... I think you should hang out at a AppleFan blog, because obviously you don't care about anything else.

@TheLondonExchange I honestly think you need to calm down, engadget is a site for all who love gadgets. Everyone has a personal preference, and you can't change that and getting all worked up over nothing is stupid. Also if all the people you say are apple haters leave engadget is going down the tubes, because the people who you say love iPhones (mostly babies, parents, and sometimes the occasional cat) have no idea this site exist

@kjsin1994 It's an Android phone, it just happens to have a 5" screen.

If the OS update is coming in September they should release Android 2.2 (FroYo), not 2.1. Many phones have 2.1 TODAY. Hell, I can even run Android 2.1 on my Windows Mobile phone NOW.
