Well, at first sight, great quality, but the best shots in this clip are taken with assistance of a tripod and maybe even more tools. Most pocket DVR's currently available (Flip, bloggie) can achieve this level of quality, with the appropriate tools.
Phones are not about camera quality any more, they are about connectivity again.
@jholleboom I disagree. The camera is probably the most used function in cellphones today. Have a camera module that can match the quality of a simple DVR is a huge plus imo.
@bahumbug Okay, cameras play an important role. But I don't care uploading 12MP shots to twitpic (which apply a 40% jpg quality effect after all). Of course, it is cool to connect it with your HDTV, but not for content-sharing.
@franchg The most used function in cellphone/smartphones today is the capactive touchscreen.
@franchg What I meant to say, current cellphones are about user interface, interaction, connectivity options. Just some newbs care about the 12MP badge on camera's.
@jholleboom "Phones are not about camera quality any more, they are about connectivity again."
Connectivity, huh? Well, the N8 has Four GSM and Five(!) 3G bands covered, Three Wifi flavours in its hood, as well as USB, Dolby-enhanced HDMI, Bluetooth, FM transmitter and GPS.
@jholleboom Convergence dude, convergence. I know plenty of people say they don't want a phone for everything, but I do, I don't wanna carry around 20 devices, I want to pull out my fricken' phone and start recording if any crazy crap goes down! Plus my family is REALLY bad about remembering to take cameras to any event, this would help.
@Ryzvonusef, and it does USB OTG - that is host mode! You can connect any USB device to it, as long as it doesn't require power from a real USB port... Hand-held devices that can do such form of connectivity can be counted on the fingers of one hand!
HP has had plenty of time to fine-tune its finger-friendly TouchSmart software, and now, its newest model, the TouchSmart 610, ushers in a fresh design, highlighted by a hinge that allows the display to slide down and lie nearly flat.

@jholleboom I dont agree with your last claim. I want BOTH.

@jholleboom err... the touchscreen is not "a function". it's just an input method. And by far not the most common.
@franchg
Oh, and the camera is a function? No, it is a feature, just like the touchscreen. And nowadays becoming very popular on smartphones.

I think this baby connects, all right
@Ryzvonusef Will be one of the first phones with bt3.0!
@jholleboom
Stand corrected, will you.
