At least one lucky fellow's 3G iPad arrives a day early

That's right -- you're probably already aware that tomorrow, April 30th at 5PM marks the beginning of retail availability of the 3G version of Apple's iPad, and a lot of those who pre-ordered can expect to receive theirs in the mail tomorrow too. It shouldn't come as a huge surprise, but at least one guy's happy today -- his iPad 3G arrived already! We're sure we'll be seeing way more of these crop up as the day progresses, but for now, here's to the first!

So you are going to buy the 3G ipad even though you can't get 3G anywhere and as well your WiFi didn't work..

What exactly is it that you're going to do with your iPad 3G?

@hfm AT&T's service is fantastic in my house - actually the only service I've had in the last 5 years that actually works at my house and in my area - DC. It's never drops calls or anything, problems occur when I have to take a trip out of town (about 5 times a year)

It must be great to have an iPad that may or may not find 3G, and once it's on, it'll be really slow, then switch over to Edge, then back to 3G. Then you'll turn 3G off then back on, and it'll work for a little while, then it'll slow down and go back to Edge....well, you get the point.

Since getting mine I've noticed that it promps me to sign up for a 3G plan. It's done it twice in the last 6 hours.
