Dell Aero confirmed to offer all that Google's got to give
When we first got our paws on the Dell Aero it was missing Maps, and the Market, and all the other Google-branded apps that make Android as good as it is. Initial fears regarding their absence were assuaged by representatives indicating that all of Google's goodness would be available in the phone, and now it's confirmed: the Aero will include all of the Google Mobile Services, including the Market, Maps, Gmail, and search. That contrasts with other AT&T Android offerings, which are still bereft of Google Maps. So sad.

I just bought a moto backflip and it has google maps and google mail and the android market place. Which is weird because my friend who bought a backflip before be doesn't.
@Wagon123
AT&T = google haters/ corporate iphone fanboys
@Wagon123, that's outstanding! Does it mean AT&T decided to silently change their bad policy?
@Wagon123
It always had those things. You're thinking of Google Search (vs Yahoo Search), which the Backflip doesn't have by default. The Marketplace on Backflip is probably not the "standard" marketplace either, can't recall.
Your own hands on video shows the Backflip having the google maps icon...
@zephxiii Indeed, my mistake. I've updated the post.
That's fine and dandy, but any word on price? I know released in June, also what about the streak? That's wut I'm waiting for! Any word on that?
I played with the backflip the other day at the AT&T store and it had all the google goodness it shouldve had at release. Kind of weird because the first time I had hands on with it didn't. Let's hope AT&T stops being google Nazis and keeps the google goodness on all the android phones they are releasing........whenever that maybe be I've been waiting months for a good AT&T android phone that's not upwards of 600 dollars and has htc sense give me that AT&T and I can kiss my crappy iPhone to the curb.
@(Unverified) did it have google search?
What? The first Android phone on AT&T, which is not crippled? Really? That would be great! AT&T, you're finally hearing what people say and fix your errors?
Too bad the Aero is still a piece of crap phone, and ugly to boot.
Dell should follow HP and kill this phone.
Get cracking on releasing the Streak, that's what everyone's waiting for.
GET IT TO TMO
Kinda pathetic that they STILL haven't gotten this phone out the door, it would've been outdated three months ago, now it's just inadequate for anyone that wants a serious smartphone... I would hope they will at 'least price it to move ($50 tops) but that seems unlikely. Same deal w/the Pre at this point, Verizon is selling 'em dirt cheap and AT&T still hasn't launched it, argh.
I'm this ->||
Welp... That post got cut off, I meant to say I'm awful close to just getting a Nexus One unlocked. AT&T reps keep swearing they're on track to have 5 Android phones announced by June but I just don't see how it's possible when they've launched just one and announced two (including the launched one, the Backflip).
I'm just glad I didn't get the Backflip. And I will never ever buy anything from Dell don't even want their crappy phone. Their keyboard is so tight and small you can't even text.
