Motorola Backflip comes to Telus
Moto promised the Backflip (among other Android-powered wares) to its Canadian fans back in March, and it's now delivering thanks to an official launch on Telus. As you can clearly see, the phone isn't quite the same thing that AT&T customers are grabbing -- the outer bezel is a darker shade, something we suspect a good deal of users might prefer -- but otherwise, it's got the same processor, 5 megapixel camera, 3.1-inch HVGA display, and wacky hinge that we're already well-accustomed with. Whether that's a good thing or not... well, we'll leave that for potential buyers to decide, but you can pick it up for CAD $100 (about $99) on a three-year deal.

Nexus one
If you dont have a nexus one your just late with everything.
a 3.5 inch display (or higher) would really make me flip for this phone.
To Chris Ziegler:
You forgot the most important thing!
Does it have the AT&T crapware? Probably not right.
But the big thing: Is it open to allow installation of non-market apps?
@Johnny Rockets "the phone isn't quite the same thing that AT&T customers are grabbing"...doesn't quite read "ungimped", but I think it's the first thing on many customers minds and Telus shouldn't want to disappoint.
@Johnny Rockets, it prolly comes with Telus crapware :(
The phone wasn't very impressive even before AT&T meddled with it, otherwise people would have overlooked AT&T's mods and we'd have heard more press abut what the phone can actually do rather than what it can't... AT&T reps still swear they're on track to have 5 Android phones by June tho, I see almost no chance of that happening but I'll be pleasantly surprised if it does.
Otherwise, an unlocked Nexus One OR Sprint will get my money.
The black one looks very nice nevertheless, too bad AT&T didn't use that color.
Chris-
1) default search engine?
2) amount of bloatware?
3) similar feelings of 'lagginess' as the AT&T version?
4) also 1.5?
5) any other differences from the AT&T version?
while bezel color is of some importance to some, could you please expand on the major differences if any? ... thank you
Looks much better in black.
