HTC Legend coming to AT&T, according to FCC
That ugly, pixelated label doesn't really look like much, does it? Ah, but there's so much going on here! A closer examination reveals that the label is a dead ringer for the label found underneath the endcap of HTC's lovely unibody aluminum Legend -- but this isn't exactly the Legend with which we're already well acquainted. Instead, this FCC filing is for a phone that operates on the 850 and 1900MHz WCDMA bands, a pretty strong sign that it'll be coming to AT&T (and / or Rogers, Bell, and Telus) at some point. Further evidence lies in the FCC ID itself: the original Legend bears an ID of PB76100, while this puppy is the awfully similar PB76110. Sure, it's no gigahertz-class, WVGA ultraphone, but we've got to admit -- the Legend's sexy enough to have us a little excited.

1. When will this be out? Next year? I mean look at the Palm Pre, still not out yet.
2. Provider-locked? Probably for sure. Screw you HTC, you're truly a d0uche.
In the end, nobody will care about this in the US. Google, can you just drop the price of your Nexus One?
OH GAWD!!! I have been with AT&T for 9 years now and they freaking SUck!!! Its like an Abusive Relationship. Thier biggest prolem other than the way they treat loyal customers IS there CRAPPY PHONE SELECTION!!!!
Who in the hell still uses Flip Phones??? 93% of their phone selection are flip phones with tiny... tiny screens. No keyboards. No nothing.
AT&T why do you let us suffer like this?? I dont want a F*Ckin Iphone when will you get this through your hard dust filled heads???
I want either a new windows Model PHone with HUGE SCREEN like the HD2. or an Andriod phone (With Google still on it) with a HUGE screen and a fukin Keyboard YES a Keyboard... I want Feel what I am typing physically!! Shit!!!!
Im mad ass hell and there is no way for me to tell them... Me and 89 Million others on your network are sick of this. But u think we are happy. WE ARE STUCK!!! Stop feeding us Underpowered Outdated, Buitchered Crap you call "Mobile Phones"
@Sniggih
The local stores near me only show 3 flip phones. A Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Samsung. Everything else in there is a messaging device or Smartphone.
I agree that they need a high end Android unit stat, though.
@Sniggih "CRAPPY PHONE SELECTION!"
Well, that wouldn't be a problem if manufactures are simply selling their phones with AT&T 3G support themselves without waiting for AT&T, but no, everybody is still doing the same old business model of cherry picking models to be released in the US locked in with the carriers, and ways later after other countries.
To those who say android doesn't need a 1ghz processor I say you must be okay with a hiccup every time you want to do something. AT&T will come out with some good phones dells android phone is suppose to hit begging in Q2. And if web os Is your flavor overclock the pre plus to 800mhz.
woot!
Cyborgs need more droids to attack! :D
I'm glad Sprint doesn't adopt this phone. The screen is to small touchscreen/typing and the CPU is slow.
So is this one of the HTC phones going to AT&T? They better not water and lock it down. -.-
YES! You guys don't know how happy I am. I want the Legend and nearly gave up all hopes and was about to buy a N1 when rumors came out that Sprint was going to take the Legend and AT&T the Desire.
But yes, I do agree with most of the commenters that 600Mhz in 2010 should be outlawed. I hope they sell it really cheap. ^_^
It is amazing how many people are willing to just switch characters just because ATT doesn't offer a certain phone. I would never leave ATT simply because not other carrier offers good coverage where I live. I can't upgrade until next April so ATT has a year to release some good Android phones. I am really hoping for the Dell Thunder.
