Razer rolls out Abyssus Mirror Special Edition gaming mouse
Razer just rolled out its basic Abyssus gaming mouse in November of last year, but it's now already back with a followup: the Abyssus Mirror Special Edition. This one packs the same 3.5G 3500dpi infrared sensor and other internals as before, but adds a new black chrome mirror finish to the exterior of the mouse that Razer says "adds a certain stylistic sensibility to the desktop." It also hangs on to the same $50 price tag as the standard Abyssus, and it's available in the US directly from Razer right now -- a worldwide release is promised "soon." Hit up the gallery below for a closer look.

Looks Awesome.. !! Waiting for a WW Release..
@NeoPhyt3
Xoxide.com should be carrying this mouse soon, and they ship internationally.
@NeoPhyt3
Why the hell would you want a mouse with a glossy finish..? Grease magnet.
No side buttons? I'll stick with what I got.
@briguyd
+1 Lame without 2 thumb buttons.
Might as well put a smooth scroll on it and sell it as a web mouse.....
@briguyd
I don't see why Razer would make a mouse without side buttons.
I have both the DeathAdder (Work mouse) and the Mamba (home) and they both rock my s0x0rz...but they both have side buttons, heh.
People still use mice?
Anything with the words "mirror edition" is a fail in my books. I got the lycosa mirror edition and its the worst keyboard I've had so far, its a grease magnet, I just can't keep it clean for 1 second.
I have the same problem with my IKEA desk with a glass top. Looks badass if I clean it though, can't imagine how dirty a mouse could get though
wireless mouse w/ atleast 4 buttons. why is this so hard to make razor?
@acme64
Have you *ever* visited the Razer website?
Razer Mamba?
@hq
let me refine my statement to include "DOESN'T COST A MILLION DOLLARS" kthx
a less featured, finger print magnet version of my razer mouse... let me hop on that :P
Deathadder still serves me fine, would consider this as a cheap work mouse if it had side buttons :-/
Razer = we suck at drivers/software
@JClaude
True that. Great hardware, but they are the laziest company ever in terms of getting working driver out to multi-platforms, and getting reliable, solid software coded. It is a shame because their mice do rock.
@JClaude
Razer Mamba = sexiness in the palm of your hand
@Unverified User
Agreed. I love their headphones too. Can't remember the exact name
of the ones I have, but damn they're nice. Very comfortable, and excellent quality. I need to get a mouse when they release mac support, if they haven't already. I haven't checked in a while.
@Ambient80
I've been using Razer mice since 10.4 w/ SteerMouse for fine-tuning (though it works with w/o any drivers as a standard mouse, SteerMouse gives you better customization). Personally used with Diamondback, Copperhead, DeathAdder.
Haven't tried to save any profiles to the mouse (Don't even remember which ones have that capability), but I do remember trying out the Razer Mac driver briefly, and uninstalled it shortly after and went back to SteerMouse.
HTH
@JClaude Never had a problem with drivers ever. Of the four people I know with these mice, nobody has ever complained about a driver issue. I've used it on the infamous Windows XP x64, Windows XP, Windows 7 x64, Windows 7 32 bit and Vista 32 bit. No issues on any of them.
MX518 ftw for me.
But Razor does have sexy mice.
That mouse has a tramp stamp.
Any news on the Mad Catz R.A.T. mouse? Engadget said to expect around April didn't they? Well, its May.
I'll have an order of my fingerprints to go with that, thank you!
