I really dont care about 4g at all, 3g is fast in a lot of places, and i'd like 3g where im at, so att can justify this broadband data price they are charging me for dial up speeds. All of these carriers should expand their 3g coverage instead of looking to future tech for more speed. I'd like to travel through a podunk town and still have 3g. expand expand expand.
@ryan74701 I clocked in 2.7mbps on plain vanilla EVDO rev A.. So yea 3G is pretty fast.. Unless your watching Youtube HQ or somthing.. But its still only takes a few seconds to buffer..
i know, the closest 3g to me is 25 miles, and i get 1.5 mbs consistently, and the highest was 3.1 mbs, where i live now i can get 80 to 190 KBs edge which isnt that bad certainly a lot better then tmobile around here, i just wish we had 3g! they keep wanting to upgrade there network with newer faster stuff when they should be upgrading their existing network to 3g everywhere, i should only have to pay 5 dollars for internet on my phone because the speeds are no where near 3g speeds and we all pay the same price its such a scam.
@ryan74701 Well I see it as this: 4G being the 3G to replace our EDGE. When 3G came out, were still finishing up our EDGE network. I assume it will happen in the same way; while 4G grows, 3G will be expanding and finishing up coverage.
