Disgusting. I watched Ross Kemp's Battle for the Amazon last night. The production of gold is *incredibly* polluting:
"Unfortunately, there is a hidden cost to the gold with which we adorn ourselves. For instance, production of the gold needed for an average 18-carat gold ring leaves 20 tons of polluted mining waste behind."
I've been to the Emirates Palace and this isn't THAT far out of place there. It's a gorgeous place, but as with many things in the UAE, it's being turned from "tastefully extravagant" to "HEY LOOK AT ME, I'M SHINY!"
Sometimes when I put money in the sweet machine the rotator doesn't eject the chocolate bar because they weren't put in dead straight. At this point I have to rock the machine to get out the goods.
Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, gold has ALWAYS been the standard for currency. The only reason we came off it was so that others could horde it for themselves. Once the economy collapses, majority of people will be fudging their pants.
Once Crime Inc. is done redistributing the US economy and by way of it the dollar the 0.02% of the country who still have a pot to pee in will love these.
@Electrofreak when it comes to arabs you are 100% correct, the BIGGEST AND PROUDEST bigot you'll find! (and if you got off a bus that exploded a block later, you would be too)
"You know what the business community thinks of you? They think that a hundred years ago you were living in tents out here in the desert chopping each other's heads off and that's where you'll be in another hundred years, so on behalf of my firm I accept your offer. @eli A few years ago I saw a gold-plated Rolls-Royce being driven through the streets of London. Needless to say, it had an Arabic number-plate.

LOL.
I am amazed at the way the west makes money off of these stupid Arabs.
@fhs1111
Who makes money off of who? They're the ones that sell us oil and then install gold-bar vending machines...
We really only have ourselves to blame, we've set ourselves up for it.
