iPhone OS 4 beta 4 drops in
If you like living on the brutal, life-altering bleeding edge the same way we do, odds are you've got iPhone OS 4 beta 3 installed on that 3GS of yours -- assuming you have an iPhone 3GS, naturally. That also means that you'll likely be interested to hear that beta 4 is now out and ready for you to download, install, and not brick your phone if everything goes according to plan, just as long as you've got access to an Apple iPhone Developer Program account. Go forth, intrepid readers -- and do report back on your exploits, won't you?

Forget all the Fanboys and bitching! Apple are complete control freaks, they won't let flash on the iPhone because it's not open, well niter is the iPhone. Since when did you need a MAC to develop for an open platform? Since when did you have to get your software approved on an open platform? You didn't. Apple are in it only for the money, not for all you apple fanboys out there, they don't care about your opinion as long as ou buy thier products.
Of course that didn't atop me from buying an iPod touch.
Android however is an open platform, and I would buy an android phone if I had any money left, just purely because I like to do what I want with my gadgets and not have to listen to some oversized company that has too much power.
I think the iPhone is a fantastic phone, its super slick and 'just works', however after say 6 months you will need to jailbreak it to unleash the full potential of an iPhone, then and only then, will you have a smart phone that kills all others!
Im sure others will agree with my statement :)
I just updated from http://iphone-beta.co.cc He's already got the latest versions up (except it says the 3G version is uploading, and should be up shortly, per the e-mail)
My dad's a fireman! Yeah but my dad's a policeman! Whine whine etc etc...

You know you're threatened when you click on news articles dedicated to product X and quickly talk about product Y. Android users, shut the fuck up. Thanks.
I like how on every article related to the iPhone. The haters come and try to put in there two cents about their evo's and android phones. This is an apple related article and I'm pretty sure that there is articles related to those devices. So take your android and evo comments there and stay off iPhone topics..
Installed it on my 3GS.. definitely an improvement. Most everything runs faster.. especially the camera which seems about 5x faster. Multitasking is nice.. I like that when I go back to an app it loads where it left off.
You know, maybe I don't pay attention too well to WinMo and Palm, but I swear I never remember their users ever fighting over which was better. And the weird thing is that HP, who has supported WinMo on their devices for years just bought Palm. I see no wars there. I see wars around Apple products users (which I am one, I currently own six Macs, and also have an iPod touch). And let me tell you: I have OS4 beta installed: it ISN'T that special. It's not revolutionary, rather, it's just evolutionary. And for the people who say Apple keeps copying Google/any other company, think of it this way: if you're selling lemonade down the street from someone else (who's selling lemonade), and they're getting more business than you, they must be doing something better. You could probably take a hint when someone comes up, buys your and puckers because it's too sour-that means you need to change something. You wouldn't keep selling your bad lemonade just so you could say you didn't copy them. You change it. And Apple did just that-it's called competition, people. At first, they wanted to keep their platform simple, and then progressively add more features. That's what they're doing. They're looking at their users reactions and saying, "How could we make this better"-it's that simple.
