White front plate looks all set and ready for next-gen iPhone, or not

As our extensive KIRF library shows, China's one wild country that can make almost anything you don't want, so don't mind us while we inspect this new finding with extra caution. This particular Chinese online seller not only claims to have parts for the next-gen iPhone, but also one white face plate -- something not seen on iPhones thus far. While we drool over the thought of an all white Apple handheld, there are still questions to be answered here: the seller wasn't able to explain what that silver bit above the speaker is, nor have we seen white back plates to match this. Furthermore, we were given a "maybe" for a bulk order of 15 to 20 units, which is quite a lot for something that's not even out yet, but we were told over the phone that there's always a back door to Foxconn as long as you wave cash at someone. Not that you should engage in such risky business, plus this piece's authenticity will be revealed in about three weeks' time, anyway. One more shot after the break.

I'll wait and see. The white iPhone might look odd with the slit on top of the Speaker. I kind of like the black front.

BTW. That would be the ambient light sensor.

@uck Why are people so obsessed with iPhones, i mean it is just a phone, you can press a few buttons and that's it. Who cares what its cover looks like.

Since the mockup iPhone used to ilustrate their case has the same cutout i believe it's the real deal and the chinese know more than we do on this one.

Absolutely agreed. Despite lots of people for years asking Apple to make their devices in black I have always rather liked the classic iPod white. My current 3GS is a white version and I would absolutely buy an all-white future version (depending on whether it still fits my needs relative to the competition) when my contract expires.

If that's the case then why does Nokia make their flagship phones all white as well? Hmmm... There's also HTC and their MyTouch... Not Motorola though, but all of their phone's are ugly anyway...

Awe, that means all of those Xbox 360's are for girly-girls too. Shucks. Also that Linkin MKZ down the street, my refrigerator, my tile flooring, my television, and the can of Alfredo sauce on the counter are all girly white too.

@Moisture Not True. Google is just going to sell it not anymore from the Webstore. Vodafone is going to sell the Nexus One from their Shops. And Why the EVO 4G? With WiMax nobody cares about and no AMOLED... And at least: Not in Germany :)

PS: I, and many others still prefer the "Google Experience" so no way for Sense and of course, tomorrow maybe the Nexus gets Android 2.2. Who wants a Evo 4G with 2.1? ;)
