@Ariel Bender Looking over your comment history, I have immense pity for you. You have the biggest chip on your shoulder of any commenter on Engadget who isn't straight trolling. What could you make you HATE everything not-Apple this much?
@Smurf: "Data protection officials in Spain, France and the Czech Republic on Thursday announced plans to investigate Google’s collection of data from wireless networks in their countries, raising the likelihood that the world’s biggest search engine company could face sanctions in Europe."
Actually, it's you and the rest of the Google apologists I feel sorry for. You bought into the myth that Google was 'cool' because they're the anti-Apple, and now you're caught defending the indefensible.
@Ariel Bender google is not worried about apple, the result of this "debate" is clearly in googles favor. apple has cornered themselves by not innovating anything new in the last 4 years, and preventing developers from bringing new ideas/abilities to their platform. all google has done is what apple failed to do. they're not even competing with apple, apple is a joke to google.
Those European investigations are mostly political posturing. Google collected openly public WiFi info and ended up snaring info that stupid people should have locked down but didn't. It's the stupid people's fault to shooting unprotected data all over and Google is offering to delete all their info (with agreed upon 3rd party witnesses) - no big deal. You're just fishing for troll bait. PS, Goggle wasn't the only company doing this. You're so concerned about privacy, why don't you go after the financial industry. The US privacy laws are a frickin' joke.
The Rip is the latest addition to the Boogie eWriter line, devices that let you scribble notes and drawings and can be wiped away with the press of a button.

Hahahaha. There is no limit to Goog's desperation. Check in with Ruby on how fcuking with Apple worked out for him.
Shouldn't you guys be in jail by now, anyway?
