Nintendo Wiimote RVL-036 mysteriously clears the FCC
We can't say for sure what's new here but that wireframe outline is most definitely a Wiimote. The Nintendo-branded Bluetooth device just passed through the FCC courtesy of Hon Hai Precision, aka Foxconn. There's very little in the way of detail here other than a new RVL-036 model number reminiscent of the console's "revolution" roots. Perhaps the new Wiimote finally integrates the MotionPlus add-on? Who knows, but it certainly makes sense given Miyamoto's recent comments. At least we can be certain that it's exactly 12 times better than the model RVL-003 Wiimote shipping today. Another FCC document grab after the break.

Wii!
I think it's the motion plus
rumor about 6/1 strike at foxconn

oh no not foxconn again, sounds like the type of company Solid Snake would be asked to infiltrate...
@annoynimous but foxconn makes all of Ottacon's stuff for him
I always wondered what was inside a Wiiremote

if it's a new wiimote with motion plus, i hope nintendo will let us send in our original wiimotes and get a free exchange for this one.
it's not like they wouldn't be able to do that, with their money printing consoles...
@Wiggy Fuzz Lol keep dreaming
Is it just me, or does this look a wee bit (yes, that was intended) shorter than the normal wiimote?
This new Wiimote comes with extra crushed dreams of Chinese workers...FREE!

All Wii hardware and software carries a model number prefixed with RVL.
@lunarworks Seriously, same as the GameCube had DOL- prefixes (its codename was Dolphin).
All Nintendo stuff is that way...
NTR- (Nitro) - DS
ATL- (Atlantis) - GBA
OXY- (Oxygen) - Gameboy Micro
The button to the left of the A button, the +, - and home buttons didn't used to be raised, they were flush with the controller
@rocketsfan20
I have a Wiimote right in front of me: - and + are raised. Only the home and power buttons are flush.
Black wiimote with color support
It's the WiimoteHD with HDMI-out
@LEDfoot Wii do have a hdmi out .. For 480p
@LEDfoot
If only that were true.
@mko: but not on the WiiMote!
@mko Wii does not have a HDMI port, you clearly have no idea what HDMI is, also wii does not support HD resolutions 480p is not HD while better than standard 480i it is not HD
am i the only one who realized that the total cost was rediculous for remotes? wiimote $39 then the nunchuck $19 then the wii motion plus $19, effectivly making them the most expensive console controllers around at $77 a pop, times four makes buying four controllers more expensive than buying a wii...
@daewootech
dude you get a free motion plus with the purchase of a new remote
@chad3670 not if you bought the wii when it came out... so bought all four, im supposed to buy four more remotes just to get the motion plus'? then i had to get a wireless gamecube controller just to play the classic games and not to mention im stuck with like several lanyards since they kept changing them, then the silicone covers kept changing designs, then they had to redo them for the motion plus. takes up alot of room having all this junk for it, i had to buy a box just for the stuff i dont use anymore on the wii
It's probably Wii motion plus. It would be nice if they also add rechargeable batteries.
