@tareqhs The Galaxy S is the best Android phone on the market. Period. Once you taste Super AMOLED, there's no turning back.
However, I want a Super AMOLED Google phone, not a Samsung phone. Samsung crippled its OS, and I bet it won't be getting its updates quite as fast. Also, its camera is a disappointment and doesn't even have a flash. Way to waste the best screen on the market, Samsung.
@alamoe It's the best phone by a landslide (4x more polygon power than Snapdragon, the ONLY Super AMOLED Android, 4.3", front camera........etc)
Except for that camera.
The thing is, even if I flash Froyo on it, the camera will still be flashless (not to mention the plasticy look Samsung adorned its beautiful internals with)...
So now, I need to wait for another Super AMOLED Android... if Samsung allows this to happen.
I agree that the galaxy S is a nice phone,but this is Samsung we're talking about. I still have bitter memories of their last iPhone killer, the Instinct.
@TareG You sir, are delusional if you think just one feature makes the `best phone on the market`. Yes, AMOLED is badass, I don't argue that. But have you tried, or at least seen, the custom Android (TouchWiz) that Samsung puts on their phones? When compared to EVO, Galaxy S is missing the better camera with flash, the mobile hotspot feature, HDMI out, and WiMax (which believe it or not, it's an important feature for SOME). Oh and btw, Galaxy S carries a 4" screen, not 4.3", kthx.
sure did. Couldn't even get 1.6 on my samsung galaxy. Bought N1 first day it was available and haven't looked back. Probably won't buy another Samsung phone again. HTC FTW

@TareG Wait..Best Android phone only because of Super AMOLED. Nonsence.

@TareG
Not to mention the ugliest skin I've ever known. He was talking about the original Samsung galaxy. Had one too before I got my nexus one.
