It's pretty rare for me to come across someone who uses Yahoo nowadays. I used to be an avid Yahoo user myself but moved on to Gmail... I guess when all my friends starting using Google Talk I didn't have much of a choice. But soon after it grew on me... a lot. Then Android came out and now Gmail's all I use... for like, everything, lol. Nice to know Yahoo still has supporters though. Maybe Nokia increase it's popularity even better
@skyblaze Something tells me I will be making the switch to Gmail permanently as well, eventually. i have no problems with Yahoo! whatsoever, but I've had the accounts for many years, and I'm subscribed to more sites than I can count with my fingers and toes. But I like integrated stuff, like Hotmail in WinMo or Gmail in Android. I never did like hotmail though, that's for sure.
@TheLondonExchange Technically, Engadget wouldn't be adding a feature for "him" or any other member in particular. It's something that has been requested for years. Everyone is susceptible to typos, including Engadget themselves in quite a number of entries. But I highly doubt it will ever see fruition either way.
London Exchange?? What's up, it's been forever, dood! No, sir you read into it too much. Nowhere in there did I say they were biased... I just found it unnecessary to label an article breaking when all it was saying was that the CEO of one's company was going to represent said company at WWDC. I find that way too obvious to make "Breaking News". In fact, what would be breaking is if he WASN'T going to be there...
Many other people besides myself brought this up - and were upranked by even more who shared the same sentiment... I think you're overreacting
Also, last I checked I had a Nexus One, N97, N900, and Touch Pro 2... oh, and a Palm Pre Plus on the way (to be delivered today, actually). I'm not an "android whore".
That thread is just another example of how this site is overrun by Apple Haters who just insult Engadget (the writers and the site itself) day after day because their beloved google isn't important.
Well the site doesn't belong to YOU. It belongs to them. And they can label whatever they want to label as "breaking".
Just because people upranked that doesn't mean you were right. It just means you won a mini popularity contest on the internet. Which isn't hard when you know exactly what to say to please the crowd.
Its not rocket science. Say anything against Steve Jobs or Apple and you'll get upranked. Say anything positive about Apple and against Google and you'll be downranked.
I say if you don't like Apple so much go to another freaking website and stop attacking those of us who do.
More importantly STOP commenting in Apple related posts...
Ahah, I never liked Hotmail either... In fact this Engadget account is linked to my Hotmail because all of the "So-and-so replied to your comment on Engadget!" emails get sent there and I never have to look at them pile up by the hundreds (literally) over the months...
My Gmail is for friends/important stuff/subscribed sites that need regular supervision (ie. Paypal, eBay, etc.), My Hotmail is for spam/sites that make tons of user generated shizzle, and my Yahoo tends to get filled with stuff that's mostly from stores... you know, when you get a card from Borders or Hot Topic or Circuit City or something and they need to link it to an email address... but send you tons of ads that dont go to the junk folder... that's my Yahoo at the moment. Though I do look back on old email from years ago when I used it frequently every now and then *tear* sweet nostolgia...
@TheLondonExchange Ok well think about this ameego: When he said "Engadget... edit button, please? kthanxbai" Do you think he said it like this "Engadget you suck, make a damn edit button already, ok?!"
I thought he meant it playfully "please? kthanxbai" doesn't sound like he being terse or pressing or however you read it as.
Engadget has the right to do whatever they want and that's fine, it's not like he was getting on their case.
How 'bout you stop telling people what to do and where to comment, since skyblaze has the right to comment wherever the fuck he feels like it. Seriously, how can you defend Engadget in that regard and then get pissed at skyblaze, more to the fact that he isn't an "Apple Hater" as you so like to pass that moniker along to anyone who makes so much as a joke or inquiry towards the company?
Simple, you're an ass. That's pretty much it, and you have the most sensitive of sensitivity towards articles that pertain to Apple news. So much that you believe if you "Say anything positive about Apple and against Google and you'll be downranked." PARANOIA at it's finest.
"I say if you don't like Apple so much go to another freaking website and stop attacking those of us who do."
What? Irrelevant. But what's not irrelevant is the "attacking", because the only one attacking people here, is you.
@skyblaze: Oh I see what you're doing there. But for whatever reason, I feel lazy or just forgetful to check multiple e-mail accounts frequently. I already tend to frequently visit this site, facebook, eBay, among other sites I go on daily basis. All my e-mail account are the exact same, [screenname]@hotmail/yahoo/gmail.com too xD.
@TheLondonExchange well he can post anywhere he wants on engadget, you just need to take a few breaths before you respond to his comments. ranting and raving like a crazy person just because he insulted your favorite tech company in no way helps your cause, just makes Apple look bad for having such insane supporters. So again dont tell people where they can and cannot post, instead come up with rational and factual responses to his comments in support of apple... we all know apple could use an intelligent level headed supporter on engadget...
@N900 This is starting to sound like drama/flame wars I would tend to run into several years ago on random forums all over the internet... It was always the same, a hater and a bunch of nonsense vs. someone who used logic to prove him/her wrong, and that made an argument. If it was two nice people, with two nicely decorated opposite opinions, it was nothing more than a nice, perhaps educative discussion. But flame wars can be fun when you're the spectator, you know? You can't help to grab a bag of popcorn *points to Mr.MJ pic above* and just laugh at the spout of nonsense being said by one of the parties...
Good going guys. It's thanks to you that this site remains entertaining ^_^.
@MegaJapan I wholeheartedly agree. The recent popcorn wars of Apple and Adobe have been fun to watch, and those flamewars actually kinda made sense: 'ya had 2 people who believed 2 different things, hilarity ensued.
But check out this case here: An article about a different subject, and everyone's having a nice time discussing the topic. So then some guy comes in and lashes out at everyone and steers the topic to something irrelevant, angry, stupid, wrong, and flat-out hypocritical. Popcorn worthy nonetheless, but you gotta wonder why someone would do something like this.
Or, you could like you said eat your popcorn and laugh at the nonsense the other party is spouting. Looking back, I should have done the latter. =D
@TheLondonExchange omg, shut the fuck up. you take the internets too seriously and people can't enjoy engadget when you go around shouting this bullshit. I am crying out to the editors to ban ur ass honey, you make tech blogs like this completely dramatic and unenjoyable for everyone.
@TheLondonExchange you can say whatever you want wherever you want on engadget, its THE WAY YOU SAY IT that matters, thats why we have the oblivion system. Its beautiful stop getting in a fanboy rage and calmly respond or comment and your experience here will be much better, and if that isnt a solution you like you can always go to Gizmodo where you will recieve a star for your unquestioning and angry apple love that gets you downranked here
@TheLondonExchange Oh my... *checks own comment history to see if I've said such thing*... I didn't find anything of the sort, at least for the past 5 pages of my own comments. Most of my comments are very happy happy go go either way =D.
@TheLondonExchange as for your list, 1 - its hard to think otherwise when you guys are in nerd rage ranting from the rooftops about how steve jobs used pixi dust on the ipad to make flash irrelevant despite it STILL being the internet standard 2 - THEY ARE get over it, apple tried to be open and fun loving in the 80s, remember 1984? well that apple failed and from its ashes came a resentful and angry apple that despised the open/consumer friendly mindset 3 - its sad that you are basing your opinion on what steve jobs wants you to think, its called drinking the kool-aid and giving up your own opinions for the sake of the almighty jobs 4 - were YOU shocked that steve jobs would be giving the keynote? its a valid point, like saying its breaking news that microsoft will continue to offer Office/Windows support 5 - Yes iPhone is a success no one is saying its not but that doesnt mean that 4.0 is the pinnacle of Software technology, IT ISNT, the least successful next gen OS was the most capable OS ever, WebOS is amazing but never mainstream, if it had released on ATT and Sprint it might have made headway but at that time people were wary of sprint still...
Calm down and present your argument rationally, do you think anyone would be elected president by jumping off the handle and going into a blind rage during a debate? i would think not
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
Hope we can get somewhere with this now...
@MegaJapan
I guess both Nokia and Yahoo hope they can get somewhere with this as well.
@MegaJapan

@skyblaze
*CAN increase it's popularity
Engadget... edit button, please? kthanxbai
@skyblaze
You just accused them of bias in the other thread asshole. WHY should Engadget do anything for you?
You're just another android whore who insults Engadget daily because they dare to put "breaking" on Apple news.
@skyblaze
Something tells me I will be making the switch to Gmail permanently as well, eventually. i have no problems with Yahoo! whatsoever, but I've had the accounts for many years, and I'm subscribed to more sites than I can count with my fingers and toes. ..........can we stay on topic now?
@skyblaze I feel you don't need to explain yourself to this guy. He seems pretty unstable. Who knows who he'll lash out at next.
@skyblaze
I'm not overreacting...
