Verizon's BlackBerry Bold 9650 seems like it's coming soon (this week?)

We know, Tour owners -- you're so ready for a little WiFi in your life that you could quite literally scream. Go ahead, let it out! There, doesn't that feel better? No? Well, maybe this will: new shots out of The BlackBerry Zone suggest that Verizon sales reps are being actively trained on the Bold 9650, adding to a trail of evidence over the past month from a variety of sites that the phone is coming shortly. It certainly should, considering the relative importance of BlackBerrys in Verizon's lineup and the fact that Sprint now has it at retail, and it's still possible that documentation on CrackBerry last month pointing to a May 27 release -- that's this Thursday, for the record -- is accurate. We'll know soon enough, but in the meantime, treat those old trackballs with care, alright?

I'm about to graduate from high school and I love my blackberry bold. I do not have a undying love for all those things you mentioned. Blackberries are not for everybody, especially if you size them up to an iPhone or the god like Evo 4g. The BB browser sucks and the apps are shitty. But no phone could come close to a BB's keyboard or messaging capabilities.

That's why I carry a BB and an iPod Touch. Best of both worlds :D

I swapped out my BB 9630 for a HTC Incredible. As much as I love the Incredible for its amazing speed I miss by BlackBerry for a lot of reasons. This includes the typing, shortcuts in the keyboard, and the battery life.

The trackball on my launch day tour has somehow managed to stay functional up to this point....barely. Somehow that makes the existence of the 9650 that much more depressing for me.

I really wanted this phone on verizon but couldn't keep waiting, its been delayed so long and the storm 2 is cheap with similar function (although less ram, this has 512mb , where the storm2 has 256mb) but, rather than wait months for this, I went with the storm 2

Active follower of engadget and numerous tech blogs through google reader. (First post) Owner of an old curve, nothing to write home about. I was one of those people desperately wanting the Nexus One on Verizon. yes I know the incredible is better, but the nexus one had the looks and stock android OS I was looking for. It was perfect in my eyes. To me, this blackberry is finally the perfect blackberry. Best qwerty keyboard, trackpad, high specs, and an anticipated webkit browser. Throw in BBM addiction (Yes, it's still way better than google chat in my opinion), and you have a winner.

Blackberry needs a serious OS update. Asap. I find nothing about blackberry impressive. Well I lied, email and text. Those of you that use blackberry, why does it work so well for you? I miss having a phone with a keyboard. I had the bold a year and a half ago. Now I'm using an iPhone. I haven't turned back to anything else since.

My corporate rep says the salespeople are getting the Bold 9650 on June 3rd and it will be in stores on June 10th.
