@dcoaster. I second this. Engadget everyone that has intreset in apple would be following the live blog. And I think it would be better to male on post about all the things said and keep that post on top. That people will see it and there wont be. A page dolled with apple posts

I agree that all the posts are annoying, but it is nice how all the comments don't get lost and are more relevant to the current topic. They need some sort of hybrid for these long blog posts.

Hey, I'm no Apple Guy. In fact I dislike most of their products, but let's be fair. Engadget did the same thing with the Google I/O. A main liveblog and articles for the relevant tidbits.
@DefPoet The thing is, each one of these nuggets would, if revealed any other day, be worthy of a dedicated post. That's how many little bombs this interview dropped. I think it was one of the most revealing Apple/Jobs interviews in recent history. Bravo, D8.

@ProfKOS From what I remember of the conference coverage, it consisted of a single article for each person getting up and presenting, but not several mini-articles for one presenter in a row.

Over/under on how many different Engadget articles will be used to cover a freaking interview with Jobs. I mean we already got the three pre-interview posts. We have the live blog. And I think this is post #4 - breaking out his comments seperately. Seriously this is such overkill.

Goggle or Microsoft have a conference and they get one story on engadget, Steve Jobs opens his mouth and Engadget almost collapses pumping out stories regarding minor comments he makes.

The difference was that Google was making announcements on actual products and services. This is just the comments of a CEO with details that really don't matter. Also, Google IO was a full on keynote, while this is an INTERVIEW.

New nugget of history? I thought this was common knowledge back in Jan 2007. It was well publicised that the Mac tablet evolved into the iPhone. Several blogs, including Engadget I'm sure, ran that story. If anything, this just verifies those past rumours.

The engadget employees have to earn their kickbacks..I suspect we will have more articles until the interview finishes, and then a "retrospect" article summarizing all the other ones.
for fucks sake stop all these articles. why not keep them all in the liveblog? no need to repost everything he says.
Next article: Steve jobs farted...there will be at least two paragraphs about the fart, what it smelled like and how it sounded, and the audience's reaction.
