I'm more interested in the Valhalla mobo for the next Xbox 360 revision.

That's a good point, at first I was thinking how nice it was that it matched the Xbox now but normally it will be closer to the TV than the Xbox.
Even the Wii sensor bar is black to match most TVs.
What does it say on it? "No manual tit"?

@Nitesh it says "no manual tilt" the thing tracks you and tilts with built in motors, probably why the base is so big.

That base design doesn't look too friendly for wall mounted TVs.

Do not want white right beside all my black TV and gear. Hopefully they'll have an Elite color as well (assuming that I buy one, which is still a big assumption).

To the people complaining about how it looks or what color it is, WTF?!! Is this a tech site or a fashion blog? So somebody creates a device as amazing as Natal with motion and voice control capabilities and you're not going to buy it because the white plastic shell doesn't match your living room decor? Seriously f-off. Go away. You people are idiots.
Why does it feel like some people are more concerned with whether a product will help them get laid than whether it will be a cool functional product? Go buy the latest Apple iFad and STFU please. Let the few of us left that are actually excited about technology enjoy this one.

@TheBodyPolitic I'm assuming that is in order to track you as you move around the room. So when the machine is off, that part stays on and tracks movement...waiting your command to turn on?
I wonder what power consumption is like in this "standby" mode I have just postulated....?
On a side note, that device is a lot bigger than I had originally hoped. I have no more room on my TV for that. I have the Playstation Eye, the Wii IR bar, the Wii Speak Mic and the 360 Camera already... My television is starting to look like the old antennae covered homes of the 1950's.
Heres the question. Since it has facial recognition... How does it handle simultaneous identical twins?

That is definitely heftier than just an light sensor.....I am intrigued.

There better still be a black one, everything I have is black, I even had to specially ask for a black Cable box from my cable co, I waited until the Black Wii came out to add it to my system. No black, no sell for me.

While I still have my reservations about the experience this will offer; it's encouraging to see they've managed to get it down to a reasonable size and have a working unit that looks somewhat like the concept renders.

As others have said it better come in black versions as well as white. I can't see sitting this in front of my black bezel on my TV and it be xbox white.
Still not set on getting one though.. I want to see what they end up doing with it. There will be plenty to play this fall without having to resort to messing around with some rush to market motion control games and tech demos
You engadget folks seriously need to invest in a real camera. Cell phone shots aren't cutting it.

The black one is very glossy.
White is old skool IMO. 2.99 for the stealthbox is good enough for me to purchase and a awesome Kinect beside it.
