I still don't understand what is so bad about the stock app (aside from the lack of an EQ) Is it REALLY that important what the damn MUSIC app LOOKS like? just push play and turn off your screen...
@Marmite Turkey I can understand that. I personally never browse by Genre, but I'm sure some people use it. but really, I still don't understand why it matters what a Music app looks like. I'm not talking about features, I mean just the looks.
@Addyct Yes the look and feel are very important to the media player because picking the song you want to play if half of the experience. I grit my teeth to say this, but look at Apple. Their media players are always very clean, crisp, and functional.
@Addyct I agree. I think the media player is ok looking, it's really blown out of proportion.
There are some valid concerns, though. For one, the way it handles multiple artists on an album is annoying. If there are 5 artists on an album, it will list the album 5 times. If you have a cd of various artists, the album will appear each and everytime...so I have to scroll through something like 40 appearances of 2 volumes of various artist compilations. It makes no sense.
Other than that, there are some other valid concerns, but its decent. But why be decent, things should be great. I like the way the Doubletwist player looks, and it had a video category, which is needed. Again, having videos hang out in the gallery mixed in with your pictures is...decent...but there needs to be a way to get to them better. A category in the media player makes sense.
The N9 has arrived. What we can say from our first experience is that we're in the presence of a fantastically designed device with a gorgeous AMOLED screen and some highly responsive performance.

@Addyct No genres is my biggest problem with the native app.
@Addyct but some people may enjoy syncing.

@SophT
You can already use the DoubleTwist app on the desktop to sync
If you are on Android and Syncing with iTunes is important to you, go get iSyncr. doubletwist has never been good, at anything...

@4runnin1285
If browsing through your music is half of the experience of listening to music for you, you're doing it wrong...
