Ballmer: Silverlight 'certainly doesn't run on the iPhone!'
Walt: Does Silverlight run on Android or the iPhone?
Steve: It certainly doesn't run on the iPhone! My guess is if it did it would be blocked! That's just my guess!

@Jack
Agreed.
He also mentions that they haven't tried.
If they could succeed, making mobile content via Silverlight easy on the battery, and bug free, Apple would implement it.
Then, they'd have that hand up on Flash that they need.
For an evil empire, they certainly aren't doing much good for themselves.

I assume you're referring to Apple.
@FitFan Nah, they're doing well for themselves.
Why does it matter if it runs on an Iphone, nobody is going to buy an Iphone, at $599 with a contract.
@Turbojugend
And nobody did.
Why is Steve Ballmer always such an ass? They need to get rid of him if Microsoft is going to stand a chance against Apple.
I'm sure you could make Moonlight(Mono) run on both of these platforms, right? It's not feature complete though.
What would happen when you put the PC and MAC together is you would probably be looking at a MAC ad! When you put the two Steves together you might get a blue screen!
@hated one Well, I agree that a massive percentage of the world's population doesn't care about Silverlight, but then again, a massive percentage of the world's population doesn't care about the iPhone either. Amazingly, some people have more important things to worry about.
Hahaha, he's right; if Microsoft came out with Silverlight on iPhone, we'd quickly see a "Thoughts on Silverlight" article.
Steve - how's that Market Cap doing?
