Mesmerized by that 5-inch display? Looking to get in on the action for yourself? If you're in the UK, take note: the Dell Streak is listed as "in stock," with prices starting at free on contract.

I'm still so confused as to whether this is a full fledged phone or a tablet...or both?

Id say its for people who want a mobile bigscreen web / media device who also wants to have the ability to talk / text.
So I guess it would be both lol

Probably. Another niche product like the O2 Joggler. Will only sell moderately-well when the price is halved - twice.

The bezel on that phone (in this particular picture) doesn't seem that small in any other real photos of the streak. This isn't the first time I've seen a provider/manufacturer do this. Here, the phone even looks thinner.

@Almo I wouldn't compare the Streak with the Joggler -- totally different categories. I've had several people coming up to me asking about my Streak, and the funny thing is most associated it with the iPad first.

I don't need a tablet that is too big to take anywhere...
but my iPhone is simply too small to make browsing as easy as it could be, nav is difficult as is watching lengthy video.
The Streak seems to hit that sweet spot in between.
the Front facing cam and other Android features are simply a nice bonus.

@kamenwati The Streak's shipping with 512MB RAM! Mine's got 400 something and it hasn't been a problem except for the beta firmware's stability.
@todrick Definitely usable as a phone. I don't even feel weird holding it up against my face. It goes into my normallly-sized pocket easily, too.

It IS big, but from photos it didn't look absurd up to the users head... in fact it's just big enough that someone might ask, "Whoa, WTF is that!" at which point you get to explain to them that it is everything people hoped the iPad would be... back when we called it the iSlate... before they fell under Job's RDF

That and I spend a total of maybe 10 minutes a day... if that... on the phone not using bluetooth... So unless it was just crazy to use it as a phone EVER, I don't foresee it being an issue.
