Isnt the real issue that ATT has changed one of the biggest "features" of the 3G Ipad = NO CONTRACT
Effectively ATT has now created a synthetic contract with Ipad 3Gers - for all legacy $30mo people the contract is - cancel and when you resign you get capped; and for all other people the synthetic contract is...suspend/cancel at your own risk, because we may change our plan in the future and if so you'll lose your current deal.
@falltime So does that mean my local grocery store and I have a contract to buy milk, because if I stop buying milk I might not get it at the same price it is today?
Logic fail.
@chripuck Actually I believe it's YOUR logic that had failed. You can buy milk from any store, at different prices. You're not locked to your local store for milk no matter how they change the price. Falltime is absolutely correct in his comment. The original selling point of the 3G iPad was "cancel anytime" and still able to get one of the 2 plans when you need it again. The iPad can ONLY use AT&T 3G in the US. They're making current unlimited users lock themselves in to an ongoing contract in order to remain "unlimited". Once they cancel, they're back to the new caps.
@spamfree Have you guys looked into this or is this your guess? I'm curious because if that's the case then I'll shake my fist at ATT as well.
@spamfree Not true at all.. I know for a fact that as long as u have had some type of data plan registered through AT&T before June 7 then u can prepay back into the unlimited at any time.. Even if u don't renew for a couple months... The only way to end up getting capped is if you at any time opt for one of the new data plans.. If you do purchase one of the new ones then you can't get back to the unlimited
