nobody really hated it - but EA chose not to make games for it, and really, lack of yearly sports titles (which the ps2 had) lead it down and it never recovered.

back then, brilliant systems could fail without the muscle of big games companies.

@Wiggy Fuzz Well, actually SEGAs own sports series (todaY 2K Sports) got way better ratings and even outsold the ps2-console-sales.
The main Reason was that Sony used FUD. And they promised things to the customers which they fulfilled with the PS3.

If only sega had let the dreamcast play dvds then the whole console market would look totally different. That is the main reason ps2 won why would people buy a console for 200 then a dcs player for the same price"yes dvd players cost 200 heck they even started out above 500" when they could buy machine that did both for cheaper

Didn't Sega make some Japanese only boomboxes? I remember seeing them in video game magazines in the mid to late 90's. I'm pretty sure they made a Saturn one and a combo Sega Master, Drive and 32x one.

Hi, after years and years of dreamcast play with my controller, it finally broke. Now I can only play with 1 controller, I bought a european dreamcast controller and another VMU (I know it's european because it's a blue swirl, not a red). Will a european dreamcast controller work with a US dreamcast?
