Blue Nintendo DSi XL headed to the US of A

Nintendo rather quietly announced earlier that as of July 11th, it will see the DSi XL in Midnight Blue. The new color model will cost $189.99 -- just like every other DSi XL -- and will also come with all the same installed software and apps. Yes, other than the color (we'll give them this, it's a pretty sweet shade of blue) this one's identical to every other DSi XL.

That was my DS Lite, imported from Japan. That blue was so dark and glossy on the shell it sort of looked like an oil slick. One day a theif broke into my house and it was the one thing they stole from my room... :*(

@ashleythehottiest You're comparing apples and oranges. Even though the line between the 2 device are getting blurred this DSi XL (and other versions) is still the best method to play DS gameboy games.

@Nitesh Yeah what the hell happened to that. The DSI XL is such a rip off if 3DS comes out. DS isn't that good anyway. The best game for it is Mario Kart

@tkuhl87 I actually like the option to pick a larger screen DSi. I have a DS Lite, and I saw no need to get a DSi.

However the larger screen is making me seriously think about getting a DSi XL.
