oh shit.
Been on the fence about the whole droid v droid incredible. I think im gonna go droid, just cause it has more support
@Fault
Up until now Incredible seems to have been overlooked when it comes to specific apps, rooting, and accessories. I've been frustrated that there still isn't a dedicated desktop dock or car mount, there is no app to use the LED flash as a flashlight, and rooting it taking forever.
Hopefully it's because of the low market penetration now, because otherwise the Incredible is better.
@Kerensky97 Now we can get 720p video :)
Free wireless tethering here I come!
Finally!!11one!! Now I can get wifi tether (because wired or bluetooth doesn't work with an iPad or iPod Touch) setCPU for awesome battery life, and Froyo; the three things I wished it had originally.
Once the official 2.2 release comes out I'm putting that on my incredible!
Hell yeah. Maybe now I can get those pesky LEDs behind the capacitive buttons to turn off. Permanently.
I'm sorry but I think that putting this up was pre mature on all sites since this method doesn't work on all phone's. But for that worked hard on this congrats to them and there is finally some light at the tunnel. I would be all for it but people have the tendencies to flame the devs that came up with the method regardless ov the warnings that it might not work on your phone since at this time only two have been known to bend rooted at this time.
Having just activated my Incredible yesterday evening, I cant be happier with this news!
About time it got rooted! Now who will make roms for it and when will they post those roms on URL(http://bit.ly/cLJcdo)
If I rooted my phone and Android 2.2 came out via OTA would I be able to upgrade? I'm new to smart phones and have only had one since the launch of the Incredible. Obviously I plan to wait till a more user friendly root is in place to attempt it.
Hey all, Long time reader, first time poster. Love my Droid and hearing about the "root" progress being made out there. But where do i go on the interweb to find instructions to do this safely?
Thanks
HP....
(KILL selected apps)
The only reason id ever want to live in america = this phone ( not fond of EVO's Size )
Sent from Motorola milestone. ..* sigh* =[
This would be great... if I knew what "rooting" was...
Google's giving me tree stuff...
Help me out...
I acutally got mine on the 10th so this is perfect timing. Part of me is happy to have Android but I wish I didn't have to stop using my iPhone. At least I can keep the iPhone.
