Nokia C7 caught with 8 megapixel camera?
After seeing the C7 listed in what looked to be legitimate Nokia documents, we now have our first look at the handset -- or at least a device that claims to be the C7-00. Purported specs scrapped from a Chinese site suggest an 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, stereo speakers, 3.5-mm headphone jack, and a display measuring about 3.5-inches. It's unclear if said display is resistive or capacitive or if we're looking at an S60 5th or Symbian^3 OS until somebody switches the damn thing on. Until then you can ogle the profile and backside shots after the break.

And yes, i can say whatever i like wherever i like, whenever i like as long as i don't break the law. Now, go do something usuful to society, play WOW or spend your parent's money, whatever.
@Psarrism
His point is fair though. Of course you can say whatever you want, but architecture is very different from designing phones. Completely different even. And, I dont care what EISA says, its not a design award. There is no red dot here. I actually think the diamond is ugly.
Hm, it's looking like KIRF.
Is this nokia? The shape doesn't look like Nokia, lol
looks like a samsung device, ugly. An advantage nokia
currently still has over its competitors is its design, htc and samsung
designs are just plain boring.
ZZZZZZZZZZ
Looks nice and if this is Nokia quality 8 MP cam, that sounds great too.
Wonder why the small power plug instead of micro USB connector though.
nokia leaks vs bp's oil leaks - wich one is harder to put a lid on?
Looks like a Samsung device.
I have to agree that the design is not that good, at least the back of the phone, but I think this phone is consider to be a low or middle budget. if the price is low than it will be a good device for not so developed countries.
Looks Eseries-ish, wonder why the C7 name. Unless it's just like the N8 protos were C0.
Uhm... Nokia? Hello? Samsung just called, they sounded pissed...
If we take that Nokia logo out of the cellphone, it's just a Samsung design and nobody can't deny it.
Meh... I'd rather wait to see what they come up with N9.
fake!
Looks nice, now since it's a C for Communicator and right up in the number, could it be possible that this baby is hiding a portrait slide out QWERTY keyboard underneath? It'd be a hybrid touch&keyboard in one! That would rock!
Could the back be made of hard rubber? It kind of looks like it might be. I wish Nokia would make a high end phone with a hard rubber back. Hard rubber is better than metal/plastic/glass. It doesn't scratch, softens the impact and does away with the annoying sound when you place your phone on any surface. In other words: epic win.
It looks fake or a very early prototype to me. Whatever it is I hope it runs S^3.
That's a capacitive screen just by the look of it. But, looks are not good enough for me when compared to the N8.
3 buttons below the display so likely S60, no? Not sure if it's a Symbian^3 standard, but N8 only has the one button...
@snotboogie
End and stop call buttons aren't a must. Symbian only needs one button, Symbian^4 might not even use button.
Well, the design is not perfect, but if the price gonna be good - its a winner!
Interesting.
It seems to have been conferment to be a fake.
@Rewes
I guess I was wrong
Boooring.
N8 is already cheap so this should be even cheaper. In that sense i could think of buying this next to EVO 4G or N9(when ever that comes out).
It looks like samshit T749...
Maybe an early prototype but definitely Nokia. Surprised they went with icons for send and end buttons instead of the usual green and red dash that Nokia typically uses, and surprised there is no micro-usb charging (though it might be there since we can't see the entire side the charger is on)
Not for me, but I'm not a typical C series customer. I think it will be fine for it's intended purpose. Maybe make it in a couple colours other then black
Wow.. Love this phone
*^ sent from 1990 ^*
Is this an evo 4g killer?
@LOVEISPEACE2012EVOLUTION
Yes, yes it is.. Well, atleast it will cost so little that you'll be able to buy two for the price of one EVO, and combined they might even be comparable! Market segments are funny like that.
What an ugly piece of crap...
I believe the Eldar guy confirmed that the price is 270 euros? If that's true you are getting lots of hardware for the pirce.
Thank God, Nokia you have finally changed from 5 mega-pixel camera mobiles to 8 mega-pixel,the C7 looks very good indeed an nice an slim at last from Nokia,o.k people will say it looks a Samsung mobile,but with Nokia just using the 5800 body all the time they had to change there design,an if these stereo speakers are as Good as the 5800,the C7 will finally get Nokia moving again an the N8 as well ,people will be really glad that Nokia are still the Best
it's like a crossover of the E66 and the nexus one
PS: mmm the "menu" key... looks like a trackwheel...a very long trackwheel
Looks like this picture was taken with another Nokia
@Kungpao with an N78...my 2nd Nokia Nseries phone :)
Capacitive Screen, 3.5", Symbian^3, 9.9mm thick. No keyboard.
There we go.
It's pugged in engadget give it few hours!
why does it have one of those old power hole , it should have a micro usb for charing , i remember the European Commission made all the phone companies agree to use only standardize phone chargers and it was micro usb that was picked.
@IMarius
I think that's a USB on top of the phone unless I'm mistaken. It may not be a charging socket though.
@IMarius
It probably has both the old charger and microUSB charging
Mmm - Shiny.
I'd say capacitive. that front plate of glass looks like its one piece running over the whole thing...

The screen's definitely capacitive. Resistive has that kind of 'rippled' surface.
