Go check out the new Joystiq!
Guys, seriously; if you haven't seen the brand-spanking-new-just-relaunched-tonight Joystiq, you pretty much haven't lived. Thrill to a completely redesigned and streamlined site, chill on the stunning new games database, drill... down into the archives of fantastic features and uproarious reviews, now all easily accesible with a deft move of the mouse or trackpad. In all seriousness though, the cats over at Joystiq have done an amazing job, and you should reintroduce yourself to the site. There's a ton new (detailed in a easy-to-digest blog post), so jump on over and read all about it!

Yes!!! Great new design right before E3. I found Joystiq by accident looking up gaming news, and it was the best accident every. Whoooo, continue doing a great job Team Joystiq!!!
@Joystiq
I designed the site, Thanks :P
@Technologeee
It's true guys, I stopped over earlier and decided joystiq no longer looks like shit =D Enjoy the brand-spankin-new awesomeness!
@Joystiq
looks really good. I like it.
@Rob
BTW, Anyone who goes on joystiq, is gay.
Get it?
:P
@Joystiq
The Jostiq design is so clean and optimized, it's so fast!
Engadget's website is nicely designed, but its bloated!
I love this new Joystiq style >:D
@Joystiq
good job site looks great
but doesn't google.com remind you of the oil spill?
lol
@Technologeee
i believe you
id want to show off too
LIKE!
Yes great job by those guys. Love the new design and features.
@Fragmented You're a nerd (who should know better) and you still use IE? Why?
Very nice redesign!
@Shadow08
It is huh, im guesing this is meant to change a lot of things
http://www.lucidica.com/
Noooo! What have you done with my joystiq?
They need to get the little icons in the URL bar sorted. I don't want two orange squares (one for PS3, one for Wii) in my toolbar. How uncooth.
@Fragmented I think Engadget and Joystiq do that on purpose so that people would stop using that abomination.
@Fragmented
I think they are doing that to be asses. Dose'nt even work with ie8 in standards mode
I love the new layout, good work!
I want to go to there..
it's pretty. kind of like somebody took the engadget design and fed it through a de-clutterer.
@notatoad http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/62407
@notatoad Agreed. Using sans-serif fonts helps a lot too. Really glad Joystiq did not follow in Engadget's Times Roman footsteps.
Great design, probably going to visit them a lot more than Ign and gamespot now. Engadget for Games. I see a conspiracy here.
Looks great! looks a lot like an evolved version of the engadget design tho. same overall look and feel, same style accents, and same archive calendar. Even though they are both AOL network sites, its good to see they didnt just take the same design and change the colors. Anyway looks great!
looking good. just in time for the busy season.
@Karate Tortoise
I understand the hate for IE, especially older versions. but to purposly cripple a website even for user of the latest versions of ie seems dirty to me. I'm posting this from IE9 preview and it still dosent work right
It looks to me as an act of stupid programing or lazyness, ie: if useragent is ie give em crap
ie7 render mode- renders correctly but hides the submit button
ie8 render mode renders wrong but shows the submit button and dosent submit
ie9 shows the same as ie8: and if ie8 is as standards compliant as people are making it out to be, someone somewhere is doing something wrong
I blame the people that aol hired out to make the site
Looks very sexy. Can't wait to look at it in depth.
Loving the new design.
its awesome, although I dont like the orange at the top
yo dawg, i herd u like blogs, so i put a blog in your blog so you can read blogs while yo readin the blogs, yo.
Do they have tons of Apple polls that they quickly take down when the product they want to win starts getting killed?
If so, I'm totally in for that.
Wow, very nice.
@aforty
+1
damn i loved joystiq before. but damn that new site is the shit!!!!! my favorite 2 sites engadget and joystiq. dman snazziest sites on the web. with style to spare. haha
Personally I find any site that gives an error on every page refresh very annoying and soon to fall off my list.
i like it but it looks too similar to gameinformer.com
In all honesty, it's about time. I've been waiting for it ever since the Engadget re-design
It is a terrific design.
Very clean, good looking site. Kudos
I'd like to see Joystiq work with the Engadget app for the Android. That would be awesome.
I cant wait for the next design though if they can come up with this, imagine what the next one will be like :)
http://www.lucidica.com/
Looks great, but works horribly on my Droid! I can't scroll thru the page very long until the top animation snaps my window back to the top. I couldn't even leave this comment on their site! No mobile site? No Android app like those awesome guys at Engadget?! For shame, Joystiq!
Nice plug, AOL.
As a result of this, I will now be reading Joystik daily, and pretty much disregard the other games sites I visit. This is lovely work, and just as readable as this here gadget site.
One question, purely out of curiosity. Obviously there's a chunk of shared code here between Engadget and Joystik. Was it developed for Engadget originally, or did they in turn modify it from another site?
I like this particular article it gives me an additional input in the information a round the world. Thanks a lot and keep going with posting such information.
