iPhone 4 launch day at AT&T stores: 7AM opening, awesome t-shirts confirmed
What you're looking at here, folks, is the extreme wardrobe you can expect to see when you waltz into a corporate-owned AT&T retail location on the iPhone 4's launch day later this month -- and even better, casual pants and footwear may be worn if approved! On a more serious note, though, this launch packet we've received confirms that stores will be opening on 7AM on the 24th and that new AT&T customers will be restricted to a maximum of one device (the same restriction applies to the new 8GB 3GS) and current customers will only be able to buy one phone per active line of service. Oh, and if you're going to a store that sells U-verse service, expect a pitch. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Get an iPhone 4....receive a colorful t-shirt...look fruity...
rainbow gay ATT globe...........LOL
I can't wait to get my shirt. Not only is it black, but a rainbow deathstar. Can't get any better!!
@neoaddict
The shirts aren't for customers (unless you're an employee)
@wanzer Employee. Hooray!
@neoaddict
Looks like you don't get to keep them, "Save for future events"
At least until the new iTouches and iPads with cameras are announced this fall.
My launch day experience will include getting a good nights sleep in my comfortable bed, followed by waiting around for UPS or FedEx to drop one off to me.
@Plazmic Flame
Its spanish you illuminati controlled american
@LOVEISPEACE2012EVOLUTION WIN!!
Shirt unboxing FTW!?!?!?
Very ugly tshirt, even "retina display" can't make it look good. :D
I can count the number of dropped calls I have had on one hand in the last 2 plus years with ATT. If other cities have more problems, that sucks. But whether its one two three or four. It's not a big deal. Not to me with those numbers.
What good is the iPhone when you constantly drop calls. At@t really needs to focus on it network.
@mhenry260
Idk. Very anecdotal to guage by comments. I, personally have not had any problems. I've been in NYC, Upstate NY, PA, Queens and maybe once or twice had a dropped call on my 3G. It sucks that it happens to other people in other places.
The shirt is boring. I would have gone for Hawaiian shirt day myself, but that's just me.
Hey guys,
will it Be possible to get an iPhone 4 without att contract right Away from june 24th?
Just asking because im overseas at this Date and would like to bring One back to europe.
Tia
@michif100 They're locked to AT&T. And I don't think there are any MicroSIM hacks yet.
Then no iPhone 4 u. Hooray!
Wouldn't Day that. Simunlock is nearly Ready (according to dev-Team) and microsim itself is already available since Launch auf the ipad.. But anyways, i an wait a few more weeks, just thought is would have been nice to bring One,when i was in the us.
Ok I have a question about pre-ordering and getting the phone. I don't know if I missed this info or if it has yet to be announced, but....
When I went to my local AT&T earlier this week, i was under the impression that I pre-ordered on the 15th and picked it up on the 24th. Now, I just called AT&T and the store to get more info and AT&T said they donno how everything is going to work and my store said the Phone will be shipped to my house and arrive on the 24th(even if i preorder it at the store, they said no one who pre orders it will be able to pick it up at the store) . They were not able to tell me how it would be shipped or if it would require a signature.
So does anyone know whats going on?? I work on the 15th and 24th so I wanna make sure I am able to pre order it and get it on those days. Im not trying to line up at 7 AM on the 24th to get it, Ill be fine if I can go on my lunch break, nor do I want it to be shipped to my house and left out because Im not home or have to drive miles away to fedex or ups in order to pick it up later.
Thanks so much
@xfbtmofx I'm not totally sure how it works but I can tell you exactly how it worked for the 3gs - I ordered it from apple online and it came on the exact date that the phone was released. Also it was shipped fedex overnight with a signature required. Personally it just seems like ordering from apple is a little easier and I know for sure they guarantee the phone to get there on the launch day - not sure what ATTs policy is.
Meanwhile the rest of the world waits for another month to come.
I think the shirts look pretty cool.
This shirt is going to look great paired with your black spandex bicycle shorts!
Hmm... could I have one that says "Touch my wang" or "Into heavy PET-ting" with a big arrow?

Keep in mind as well that data transfer speeds in the US are horrible regardless of the carrier compared with the rest of the world... and, the problem is far more political / litigeous than technical. Carriers are afraid to push the envelope too far beyond the competition, not because they fear they can't sustain it, but because someone out there would somehow link unusually high data transfer rates as aiding in the piracy of copyrighted material simply by making unusually high speed data transfer available to potential pirates (ie, endusers with cash to burn). Where did all that extra cash come from besides piracy? Because that user obviously isn't using that cash to buy our content, otherwise they'd be too busy using the content to need so much bandwidth available to them. ( etc...)
I am sure people just can't wait to sport this ATT shirt. lol
I'd scratch it off and write, I pay 3g prices but all I got was Edge and this lousy T-Shirt.
Since when did it become taboo to shit on at&t's shitty network? Sorry but in Los Angeles at&t is a joke. I don't see 3G speeds until I'm out in Riverside, and even there it can be sporadic. I'm dumping at&t and going on a T-Mobile month to month plan, which will be a comparable plan and $40 cheaper. Fuck at&t

HTML5 Client-Side Storage in Safari: The advanced Safari browser included in iPhone OS supports the latest HTML5 offline data storage features. The offline storage means a web app can store session data locally in a cache on the iPhone or iPod touch device, using either a simple key/value data API, or a more advanced SQL interface. The data is persistent among Safari launches, meaning apps start up faster, are less dependent upon the network, and perform better than ever before.

And people on other networks and other phones have been living this dream for over a decade...
I love the Iphone, but I just terminated my contract with ATT due to the horrible network. I gave it a try for one year and had enough.
I've got a Blackberry 9650 on Sprint and love it. I'll miss the Iphone and the cool apps.
I hope everyone who buys the Iphone4 has better luck than I had with my 3GS. ATT would blame Apple, Apple would blame ATT.
What the... what's the awesome of the shirt?
