This white boy is gonna dance!
The fact that they didn't mention the price kinda scares me. It's as if they still cannot figure out how to cut things down to make the price cheaper.
So where are all the haters who said that Natal was just Vaporware?
@BAGAGT1
I didn't see a single game that hasn't been done on the wii... and Forza which looks like a weaker version of Forza. The kinect stuff looked awful.
But the non-game materials are cool.
@BAGAGT1
The funny thing about the term' vaporware' is that its definition is ambiguous. Originally, it was coined to mean a product whose announcement is months/years before its release (ironically, by a Microsoft employee). Of course, others define it as a product that is never released.
Depending on how the term is defined, the individuals calling Natal vaporware were correct... Of course, with the opposite definition, they are most certainly wrong.
Semantics.
@MagnetMan LoOk ThErE ThEy ArE!, there also all over gamestop e3 stream,fanboys and all screaming Dont Buy It Please!it crap and there other excuses....what was it josh said about fanboys on the podcast?,
@d3sc3nd3ncy
I agree with you, I didn't see anything new except maybe the dance game (as it won't require a dance pad). I'm not saying I'm impressed with the games all that much, but I am impressed with the technology. I think the Wii took gaming a leap forward. Kinect is just another step in that same direction, but an exciting step nonetheless.
@MagnetMan
I think most people on this blog who use that term specifically in regards to Microsoft, use it to mean that Microsoft will not release a product (a la Courier). I'm glad to see Microsoft release Kinect with 15 titles at launch, that might help sales......
here a video link

but why did they call it kinect?
Da ppl on da box r dorks
I own an Xbox and not a PS3 and I'm struggling to see where this is better than the Move. So far Sony has shown the Move system will be useful in the games I actually play...Microsoft has tried to win new owners who want to play casual stuff.
As a current owner who resides outside the US and so the media deals don't apply, and someone who has no interest in casual games this is not good at all.
KINECT needs to be under $100US and preferably $49.95US.
@RAD Moose
Your expectations are unrealistic.
@Tes Yes, the $49.95 price point is unrealistic, but would drive console and game sales (remember, console gaming is razors and blades.)
$100 isn't. From a hardware perspective, KINECT is an array mic, infrared xmitter/receiver, webcam and motor. If you get much higher than that, you are going to not have mass appeal as you are already dealing with a $200-$300 console investment plus games.
Unfortunately it looks like it will be $149.95 =/
@RAD Moose
Yes...but this is Microsoft. I almost paid £50 for a usb wireless adapter before realising it was a stupid idea and figured £10 worth of ethernet cable was a better deal. They're trying to sell "official" Xbox Sandisk usb drives for almost double the same sticks unbranded. They won't price it anywhere near cost.
SOLD!
If it was coming out next month, I would probably get it. But by November, I'll have lost nearly all interest.
I like that this product ditches the need for additional peripherals.
The only thing that will make you feel more humiliated than waving a wii-mote around is waving your arms around without a controller to be seen.
Games will have more beautiful graphics than on Wii, I guess...
Why does their packaging still look like something horrible from the nineties? Not to mention how stupid those people look on that box :s Microsoft just has too much money to spill -_-
Cant wait to have it!
